We played there 3 years in a row, from 1999-2001. They had a second stage set up & we played there with Duran Duran, The Beach Boys, and Yes. It was awesome. My hands were shaking trying to play guitar in front of that many people. Beer helped.

Very cool.
My wife's favorite band in the '80s was Duran Duran. What band were you in?

That's amazing!!
My band is at the point (in our mid to late 40's) of playing opening sets for other friends in local bars. And while I am getting better each time, my anxiety over singing in front of people has me nervous in front of about 50 people!

One of my best discoveries of the last 15 years: Early Chicago!!!
Terry Kath was a God! One more reason you guys need gun control. - Tonybere
last summer my buddy asked if I was into Chicago. Told him I knew the hits, so he handed me the first album and told me I hadn't heard Chicago.
Blew me away! Now I own the first 3 albums.
Terry Kath was incredible. That was a case of The Gun Didn't Know I Was Loaded.

When I played in a band, they asked me to sing a song during practice, so I started singing and they stopped playing. I asked what was wrong and they said not to sing ever again.
I can only sing like John Tardy from Obituary now.
Islanders have scored 8 more goals than the Rangers in the same amount of games. They overcome their average goaltending. Getting great play out of Tavares and Barzal helps. - tomburton99
Not sure average goaltending is the best description. More like abysmal.

Haha!! My wife gets that from her kindergarten class!
I've always been able to hit the notes and tend to try and imitate the original artist, as I feel that the song is their's and that's the way it is done best. I can mimic a pretty wide range, we cover Eagles (Frey, not Henley), Billy Joel, Seger, Petty, Jackson Browne, Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo (Canadian Content!!),...
I do well enough, just terrified of making mistakes in front of an audience for some reason.
