Would you guys trade Letang? Just curious.

Prior to this year, my proposal was Maatta for Conor Brown but Maatta has rebounded well this season and has probably been the most consistent penguins defenseman. I don't think he's expendable anymore. I don't see the Pens moving Letang, Dumo, Schultz, or Maatta.

I don't think any GM in the league would view Dumo as a 5 dman. He lugged around Hainsey for the entire playoffs and helped him get a 3 million dollar contract from the Leafs lol. Dumo is at the very least a 2nd pairing Dman. He's probably one of the better "shut down Dmen" in the league, even though I think there are very few of those that are actually useful.

I can't see him being traded. If Tanher can get back to 85% form or above it will be great for the team.

Why would Letang be off limits? Is it because there isn't a high demand for a $7.0M D-man who can't play defense?

But he's way exceeded my expectations. He's one of the reasons Reilly has taken such a big step.

Who knows if they even want to move him at this point anymore. Seems like he's producing well now.

I would trade Maatta before Dumo. I don't think either of those players will be included, but I'd rather keep Dumo long term simply because of his reach and skating.

Not sure if they might trade for a few more picks - especially 1sts. Unless Lou trades for a Dman I can't see the Leafs contending. If they don't trade for that Dman then I think they will sell a few & play their prospects like Kapanen & co to get more NHL experience then really go for it next year.

Trouble is in saying that, when you are there you should do everything possible to try & win it, Not bank on the following year. So I believe that they should trade hard for that Dman keep their team together & Go hard. Be a great ECF Pens Leafs.
