The second best offense in the NHL being shut out isn't Halak's fault.

That stat is going to be short lived.

I'm more impressed with Bailey taking a shot. He actually think he may have moved his skate also.

I think they told him to think of it as passing off the goalie.

They don't match up against Ken Hitchcock's system. It's a huge weakness.

He's not playing good but the team played decent for two mins in 2 periods. The other 38 mins they were (frank)ing awful.

Dougie gonna say they were out played in all aspects of the game, period.

Yeah that's what butch is saying. I think it has more to do with them being bad in every aspect of the game and just not really showing up

Butch just called the 2nd goal a lucky bounce after the stars had 7 consecutive shots before scoring from within 5 feet of the net. Sorry that has nothing to do with Hitchcocks system that has to do with not caring enough.

If he’s honest he will.

Butch is getting to be to much of a Homey for me too.

The Islanders didn’t play poorly The Stars just played really really well.

This team plays a few good games and gets lazy. Doug really needs to stop these no show games.

Weight said it was a sluggish game. By both teams. Not true.

Dallas really played well to a man starting with the goaltender.

Actually he got his butt outcoached by Ken Hitchkock.

That's not his take. He felt the isles had more quality chances than the stars and generated enough to win the game.

Lost a little respect for Dougie listening to his horsepoop about the Islanders being able to win. The third period, Dallas chipped it in at the Red line and played in shutdown mode for the period.

Took a page out of Cappys book tonight

I don't care what Butch said. Here's what I'm saying - the Isles will lose to the Stars 4 out of 5 games they'd play. The Isles are playing wide open hockey and they are loose with the puck. Teams like the Stars will capitalize on that and crush them.

How many wins do the Islanders have when scoring less than 5 goals? Teams are on to them now. Barzal isn't a secret anymore.

Are we going to have to bring back Doug Capuano?

This is where coaching matters. Isles staff better be able to adjust.

They should have hired Ken Hitchcock when he was available (assuming he didn't hang up on Snow's offer).

I agree bit with that said our coach thinking they played a good game tonight is a real problem. Hopefully he doesn't really believe that.

Totally agree, teams playing a tighter d system are going to give the Islanders and everyone else a tougher time to score.
Honestly that’s what you’re going to see more of as the season wears on and certainly in the POs.
The offense is great but pond hockey isn’t going to win at the end, they need to tighten up as most on here have said the whole season.

It's still early, but so far Doug like Cappy does not seem to have the X's and O's knowledge or the ability to teach it.
