Ek says Nashville are on the shortlist for Kane...

I would have to think, given the widely-reported high asking price for Kane, Ekholm is coming back.

That would be great.

The more i think about it, I think Kane and Reinhart trades may be intertwined, because if you're trading Kane, you need a player for Eichel's LW. The Sabres are pretty deep at RW (Reinhart, Okposo, Pominville, Fasching, Baptiste). I would think with Reinhart being the most valuable piece there, he would be the piece to help balance the LW position with Kane's departure.

I'd like the Sabres to get a good look at C.J. Smith this year with Eichel too.

If Reinhart can get the Sabres some speed on the LW position (Duclair, Athanasiou, etc.) I'd make that move.

Take him and all of our firsts, just give me Forsberg

I'd say either Ekholm or Tolvanen if it's NSH. Don't they'd give up on the latter, but hey.

The Boston Bruins made quite the unexpected move on Thursday, when they place veteran forward Matt Beleskey on waivers.

Though the 29-year-old winger has had a rough campaign so far, recording no points at all in 14 games this season, he is still under contract with the Bruins for the following two years.

He has a cap hit of $3,8 millions until 2020.

Just another one in the long list of players who had one season that earned them a contract they were inevitably unable to live up to.

Kane is most likely the biggest trade deadline rental target in the league right now.

Not that i disagree, but i would argue that his one season wasn't even good enough to get paid that much money, even if he had replicated it. It's like they decided that he's only gonna get better and better despite 5 seasons prior proving otherwise.

Terrible contract

It's very creative, i'll give you that. I doubt Erod is a 2nd line center in this league, but, yeah, it's creative. I'd rather the Sabres move Okposo and Pominville than ROR, but i assume you're doing that beacuse the yotes want him.

I also don't think the Sabres should be leveraging 1sts for soon-to-be FAs

Why not wait til OEL is a FA and try to get him for free?
