Or they could say " show me what makes you special" Tough call on which road to choose.

I don’t think they’d say that to a guy who they put on the 4th line for 8-10min...

That's a tough call. With expansion, there could be room for a 25-30 point guy. He will get the draft status benefit, see nail yakipov.

Just landed in Vancouver (for work) and rode the train from the airport to the downtown area. Coincidentally, I ran into John Van Boxmeer. I noticed his Sabres travelling bag with the name "Van Boxmeer" on it. I think he was startled when I said "hey John, how are you doing"? As most on here would know, Van Boxmeer is the Sabres west coast pro-scout. He lives in L.A. and is responsible for all pro scouting from Denver.

My first "insider" contribution. Nothing like Homie or 89' but at least it wasn't the hot dog vendor.

That's how I feel about Baptiste and that highlight reel goal from Eichel last year. Will he ever be given that chance?

I’ve said a few times...
Baptiste played well in juniors when on the wing with McDavid
Let’s see what he can do with Jack

I agree, it's tough being a sabres fan.

With Eichel, I feel like he's about to do something special whenever he's out there. He's exciting and entertaining.

Reinhart is having a really bad year. There is Zero excitement or entertainment to his game.

Being a season ticket holder, it's not just winning, it's entertainment value too

- Boss34

I respect that, being a season ticket holder the last several (6?) years has got to be tough.

I agree with the excitement when Jack has the puck, it feels like there is a solid opportunity at any point...it does remind me a lot of when Perrault had the puck!

I really want his focus to be on winning the puck back when the opponent has it ... cause, when he gets it with his speed on the transition who the hell can keep up with him ... no one, period.

We have to adjust our expectations with Sam. I am severely disappointed in what they got there as well. It sucks, but to borrow a phrase from the Krout ... there is a baby in the bath water in him...need to make some lemonade from them lemons.

If they decide on keeping him, they should sit his ass in the press box for a couple games ala Gus.

If the game keeps getting faster, he's donzo.

His quickness is worse than Vanek's, with half the skill.

Isn't the key, with a franchise player like Jack, what he does away from the puck too? He's the guy you have to build around. But he has to more Toews, Getzlaf, Kopitar, Bergeron etc. than Seguin, Kessel, OV etc

He's shown speed and finishing ability with Eichel. Give him 10 games to see what he can do. Worst case scenario he's a 3rd round bust, best case scenario, he can finish on Jack's passes. The alternatives are pominville and Okposo who haven't shown much with Eichel

Absolutely. Mine takes care of me.

28 days a month....

...and when I don't say dumb stuff...

Yeah, so 5 days a month....

This weeks dumb statement..."Dear, I'm changing the battery in your cooking timer"

Wife "But that's the smoke detector"

Couch again.

Pick out my own clothes tomorrow.
