The Sens figures are higher than they should be because they include revenue from playing 3 rounds in the playoffs last year. Carolina will be moving to Houston - I am fairly confident. They are dead last in attendance this year and their ticket prices are low - not a good combo. The new owner is a Texan and Houston will support a team.

The seven year no-movement is fairly standard. Those clauses - just like say a NTC (Stanton for example) can be negotiated.

I haven’t seen the actual terms of sale, but in almost all cases, there will be a clause that allows the new owner to move the franchise if certain conditions on attendance are not met.

Which inevitably becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy; the owner purposely neglects the team so that fans stay away.

Should be inteesting - it always is with ownership in the NHL.

Yeah, I think Arizona moves first. They've got arena issues and Andrew Barroway's net worth is well under a billion dollars (Forbes estimated it at around $50 million when he bought full control of the Coyotes).

Karlsson is Karlsson, might play injured or something but he's one of, if not the best defenseman in the game today.

Phaneuf is a solid 2nd pairing option, despite all of you hating him.

Ceci sucks and is overrated as balls.

Has big money, so he can make improvements, but he's also not going to want to bleed money to be an owner. The thing that could help keep the team there are the ties to golf.

Whalers won the first WHA championship and that's about it. They've been in Raleigh for longer than they were in Hartford (in the NHL) now.
