Man I can't believe it, but I actually want the Sens to win today. Im legitimately feeling sorry for their fanbase.

He scores but I don't find he creates much 5v5...could be just me.

Play looked way too soft to be a head injury, but I can see him re aggravating the previous one or yeah his upper arm. Yeah it sucks that we cant know, but I hope he recovers fully and brings his intensity and A+ game back with confidence.

funny thing about the brain, it doesnt have to be a hard hit to rattle it.
Probably a mild concussion or whiplash.

Karlsson had a great game last night.

Is he purposely trying to drop his value?

Honestly, the "he scores" part should be the only thing that matters.

ya maybe....pretty sure Leivo could stand in front and collect garbage goals. I like JVR I just don't think he's great. If we can get something for him I'd do it now...can't see us winning the cup this year...so why not recoup something.

You can make a case about the best "plan" being to trade JVR instead of keeping him for a playoffs run.

But I'll never buy the "well that 25-30-40 goal scorer can easily be replaced by someone else".

There aren't that many players that score that many goals on a regular basis, you can't just replace them or say their goals are "easy".

If JVR leaves, I can make a very strong prediction that Leivo will not give the Leafs a similar production.... not even close.

I honestly wonder how that ankle tendon replacement is effecting him. Would really suck to have another Peter Forsberg.

Not easily replaced you're right...but he's more of a pp specialist wouldn't you think?

I couldn't say, he's obviously not the best at winning battles along the boards or being that responsible defensively (which are important parts of 5 on 5 play).

But he's obviously someone who can produce in different situations, which makes him deserving of quality icetime both on the powerplay and at 5 on 5.

Is it the same surgery Forsberg had?

Foppa was never the same.

Holy frank, that guy must have had a dozen attempted comebacks.

Kept producing at a ppg pace for around 20 games before falling again.

Such a shame.

Who the hell is Foppa?

Edit: I was not aware that was Forsberg's nickname
