Yeah, love. I'm from Windsor. He played for the Spitfires. Regardless of issues, he's remained a pretty consistent NHLer.
- SuperSchennBros

If by a pretty consistent NHLer you mean that he's been a giant, flaming douche bag since the day he entered the league right up until last night, then you are correct.

We look like world beaters right now. Although I feel there is more balance in the line up, it's still the same players producing (Giroux, Couturier, Voracek), which is my concern. The true test lies in the upcoming schedule with Dallas and LA ahead.
- SuperSchennBros

there has been secondary scoring, Raffle for one who has the last 3 game winners. They are still top heavy but they are now a 2 line team and not a 1 line team. I would actually put Patrick between Jake and Raffle

agree on upcoming games, must win Sabers, that is a trap game. They have to beat 1 of LA or Dallas and win the other games they should (Sabers 2x and Wings)

Such an odd fight....Kassian, with a 5 goal lead, went right at Dubinsky who dropped the gloves, seemingly out of self-defense.

Any reason why Kassian shouldn't face some sort of DoPS discipline here?

End of the game.....instigated a fight that caused injury......

I feel like this is worse than what Radko Gudas did.

- johndewar

In the third period of a blowout loss Dubinsky was gooning it up and taking runs at the Oilers' young guys, and he also dropped his gloves first.

Kassian did nothing wrong. Dubinsky (frank)ed up by not realizing Kassian was a lefty.

If that's the case, I blame the refs for letting it get out of hand. Dubinsky should have been hit with a minor and a misconduct as soon as he started that crap.

Yeah if Dubinsky was being Dubinsky they should have handed him a misconduct and it would have been done.

Yeah.

Weal and Gudas are guys I think I would listen on.

I like Weal. Just think he is one of those guys that needs to right situation to be effective. Last year was a great run but you wonder if that was more an aberration then the norm.

Exactly. I find it hard to believe Kassian went out and actively targeted the innocent Brenden Dubinsky without cause.

Look, I like Zach Kassian's game. What he does with his personal life is up to him.

You're right and i love what Raffl is doing but it took two months for him to do it. He's played well but I don't expect it to last.

OK, I think the problem with this board has become the fact that too many Perfect people post here. My question is, where is the former saint and current afterthought Mike Richards employed?

So many people made fun of Peter Laviolette when he introduced to the team dry island and made up excites for the players...and before I'm called a liar, you can call me whatever you want, excuses were made on this message board.

Personally for me, if you can play, you can play. The players are gonna do whatever they want away from the ice.

Instigating a fight with a 5-goal lead is still a bad look.

And yeah, Dubinsky did not protect himself well here.

Raffl is a good possession player, but he won't create offense. If you keep him on a line with guys like Laughton and Leier, he'll won't you get you much offense. However, if you put him with a skilled possession driver like Voracek and modestly skilled center like Filppula, he will score some goals. I actually think a top six of:

G-Coots-Simmonds
Raffl-Patrick-Voracek

can be very effective for this team next year, and perhaps even towards the end of this season. The trick will be to find someone to center the 3rd line, hopefully with Lindblom and Konecny on the wings for 18-19.

Raffl to me is a value player. He can play on any line and be effective but like you said, play with him with higher skilled players and you get more value out of him. Won't produce much offense on the 4th line but can produce secondary scoring playing on a scoring line. Every team could use a player like Raffl.
