A week ago they were 8 pts out of the last wildcard spot. Now they are 8 pts from top of the metro.

I am not totally sure. There were some teams interested in him as a FA. You might be able to find a swap where you get back more size or someone who can kill penalties. - J35Bacher
not sure. my guess is a pick. |

Serious hockey question.... do you think hextall would ever consider trading for Karlsson ? For what you would have to give Ottawa do you think it’s a lateral move rob peter to pay Paul type of deal? Man I wish the rangers could get him but there’s no way they could fit that salary under the cap. - Bobd62
Can't see Hextall making that move. He has plenty of offense on D already with Ghost, Provorov and Sanheim and their best D prospect, Myers, is also highly skilled. If Hextall is going to try and land an impact player, my money would be on that guy being a center.

I do like him.
I don't need a goon. But i need a little more sandpaper to go with my skill. There seem to be some desperate teams ready to make moves. You have Ottawa and Edmonton looking like they want start to retool their rosters. - J35Bacher
We got Dale Freaking Weise who needs more sandpaper than him. |

Do me a favor. Look up Joe Thornton and see what he did in his rookie year. I'm not worried about Patrick. - hockeylover
Not just thornton. Look back at 2nd overall picks and you will see a lot of guys who struggled or at best had ok seasons in year one and some even in years two and three before breaking out. Vinny Lecavalier, Daniel Sedin, Jason Spezza, Rick Nash (first), Eric Staal, Jordan Staal, Tyler Seguin, Aleksander Barkov.
I did expect more than a pace of 7-14-21 but coming off of his surgeries and seeing his limited ice time now, I am not completely surprised.
I hate seeing seasons like we are seeing from Giroux, Coots and Jake are being "wasted" on a being a bubble team. I think that is why I want to see the kids up and in the lineup over guys like Weise and Lehtera (when he is in). I want to see things accelerated.....see the kids continue to get experience. |

I don't think so.
The Flyers might not have a Karlsson type point producer but I think as a whole moving forward they could have enough offense from the back end. Gostisbehere will probably be the top point producer but you will also have Sanheim, Myers and Provorov all contribute offensive.

I don’t think Hexy would. I think Sens would want Ghost as a replacement PP QB and would also want multiple 1st round picks which goes against Hexy’s philosophy since taking over. Resigning him would impact future signings such as Provy, Konecny, Patrick and other prospects currently on ELCs |

The only song that got any radio play in the U.S. was "Easy Livin'" in the 70s. Supposedly the band was huge in Germany, go figure. - BiggE

Thanks I’m hoping we can find a decent Center before the deadline. But I’d just like to bring back chytil we he recovers from that injury and give him a real shot at staying. |

But I want someone who at least kills penalties or gives me another attribute.
I wonder if there is someone you can swap Weise for like a deal that Edmonton and the Kings did. Swapped to guys to shake up the roster but didn't need to sacrificing anything moving forward. |

Once he got the concussion, I lowered my expectations. I really didn't expect that much to begin with once I found out that he had 2 off season surgeries. I still think he'll be fine and he'll be a good 2C for this team next year. - BiggE
Oh no doubt, not remotely down on him. |

He only threw us in because I made a somewhat legit trade proposal in his thread from the other day 😂
It was:
Simmonds, Ghost, 2 1sts for Karlsson - arichardson22
I would do that.
Ottawa wouldn't. |

Question for you and the older more seasoned people on here. Were the bands Cactus and Uriah Heep well known in the 70s, or were they fairly obscure? - jmatchett383
cactus....never heard of them...Uriah Heep however pretty well known.....demons and wizards and the magicians birthday are both excellent |

Prob would have to add a prospect to sweeten it. But it’s still a large package coming from our end. I do think Flyers are one of the better teams to make a trade with them mainly because of Ghost as a good replacement and our assets/prospects but that doesnt necessarily think we should. Him and G would be fun on the PP tho |

I think its safe to say that whatever was bothering Simmonds he is coming out of it. That was the best i've seen from him since the opening 5 games. |

I worry about the future. Your going to have 2 dmen making some serious coin along with two forwards that are over 8 million. I mean i don't see Provorov getting a bridge deal. i think he is getting something pretty solid like Doughty got after his ELC. |

If we have to move simmonds, I would want a younger version of him back and someone to slot in top 6 on LW.
CBJ and Flyers have a history...Josh Anderson, Sonny Milano, plus pick for Simmonds.
I would think that works for both Teams. |
