True, however Lindblom has played very well offensively at LHV the past few games and has been good defensively all year. If he keeps playing the way he has the past week or so, I think he comes up at some point this season. - BiggE
Question for you and the older more seasoned people on here. Were the bands Cactus and Uriah Heep well known in the 70s, or were they fairly obscure? |

Never heard of Cactus. Familiar with Uriah Heep but was not a fan. Easy Livin' is awful. |

Uriah heep only had one good album I got it from Columbia house back in the day never opened it still in original wrapper I wish it was worth something but I seriously doubt it |

They were known to the more hardcore music fan types, especially Cactus. Uriah Heep was at least occasionally heard on FM rock stations. Both were bands that you usually saw opening for bigger acts. I never saw either, but know a couple people who saw Uriah Heep and said they were a pretty good live band.

I'm not so much giving up on him as I'm advocating that he be moved to add more size to the forward group. With Giroux, Konecny, and Leier already in the lineup, they are one of the smallest forward groups in the NHL. - BiggE
That's my thing. I need a little more size and honestly grit to go with my skill. I think you could look at teams like Florida, Edmonton, Montreal and find a solid deal and bring back some more size and skill.
Especially if this team does work itself back into playoff contention. And I think you can do something without sacrificing your future.
I also have a feel they might need a vet type IF they do get close to a playoff spot. Florida has some guys that would intrigue me(Derek MacKenzie, Radim Vrbata, Colton Sceviour) All are cheap and bring some size.

I think Sceviour would be a great fit on the 4th line with Leier and Laughton and it would give them another solid penalty killer. He's not huge, but at 6'0 195, he's much bigger than Weal. |

May as well open it and give it a listen because you are correct, it's probably worth the price of a cup of coffee, give or take. They do have a couple of good songs, I always dug "July Morning". |

Great Flyers win!
I have read a bunch of takes on Patrick over the past few days...
-He isnt as good as we thought.
-He should go back to the WHL
-He needs to go to the WJC to beef up his confidence
Here is my take...
The kid has had a tough orientation into the NHL. He is coming off of a pretty impactful surgery. We all saw Ghost and G struggle a bit the majority of last season. He is gonna have to fight through that as well. Add to that the concussion from earlier in the season and he has had a challenging time even getting any flow going.
Second to the injury stuff... look at how he is being used. Im not completely blaming Hak- as he has limited resources- but he has been primarily paired with other struggling forwards. Most of the season he has had one of Weal, Weise or TK on his wings. He did have Simmer for a bit too, but Simmer has struggled at 5v5 as well.
My suggestion would be to flip Flip and Patrick and see how that goes for getting him going. Doesnt have to happen now.. but at some point. I would love to see him getting time with Jake.
He has shown more than just a few glimpses of what he is capable of.. Hes gonna be fine. |

What a play by The captain. Wow. Special play. Never would have thought the position change would go over this well - Just5
Pavelski would have done it with one hand tied behind his back |

I do like him.
I don't need a goon. But i need a little more sandpaper to go with my skill. There seem to be some desperate teams ready to make moves. You have Ottawa and Edmonton looking like they want start to retool their rosters. |

If he got it for 1/15th of a penny and it's now worth $3 that's a pretty good return on investment. |

Ok so Ek has a 5% chance we trade with Ottawa for Erik Karlsson. What would we send them????
I have no desire to meet the request of Provy which you know is included in the starting ask. - dragonoffrost
He only threw us in because I made a somewhat legit trade proposal in his thread from the other day 😂
It was:
Simmonds, Ghost, 2 1sts for Karlsson |

The offseason surgeries and early season concussion are huge hurdles to overcome, especially for a 19 year old rookie. Patrick is going to be an excellent player, just give him time. - BiggE
Coming off of the surgeries he had (look at the difference in Ghost and Giroux one year out from their surgeries) and knowing kids develop differently time wise I am no down on Patrick but I can't say I didn't expect to see more from him. |

The more I see of Weal, the more I understand why he spent so much time in the minors. He's just not quite good enough to play a top 6 role and he doesn't bring enough grit, defensive play, size, PK ability etc.. to play in the bottom six. He's a guy I'd look to move. - BiggE
what do you realistically think you will get for weal? |

Once he got the concussion, I lowered my expectations. I really didn't expect that much to begin with once I found out that he had 2 off season surgeries. I still think he'll be fine and he'll be a good 2C for this team next year.

It’s funny there was a song that made me buy the album in the first place but dammed if I now the name couldn’t have been that good if I never opened it though! |

I am not totally sure. There were some teams interested in him as a FA. You might be able to find a swap where you get back more size or someone who can kill penalties.
Edit: Would Florida do something like Sceviour for Weal?
