I dont even know where to start

Edmonton deal - no way sens can take on $25M/season from the Oilers
Leafs Deal - Logan Stanley isnt a sens prospect, he is property of wpg
STL - They likely wouldnt do Petro straight up at this point unless Karlsson's health or whatever is going on improves drastically

yup. if you're going for a cup, add karlsson to what you have.

don't pull a sens and make a lateral(ish) move.

go big or go home.

I think AP + a lot of futures would be the sort of move the Sens would make if they were going to move him. Only I think they would go for someone a bit younger than Pietrangelo if possible.

Of course, if the Senators move on from Karlsson, it won't matter to me because I'll be moving on from the Senators

(frank) yeah, what's my prize for winning your little game Ek?
Btw you can't really have Petro and those other pieces. Maybe JayBo+ but not Petro.

Yeah, no of course. They probably wouldn't have done it after he tore his Achilles tendon back in 2012 either.

Amazing that arguably the best d-man has less value than Alex Pietrangelo because he's currently playing hurt. He was playing very hurt last playoffs and was un-(frank)ing-believable.

Jay-Bo? Great! What other old players do you have that would help the Sens kick-start their rebuild off in style?

Doughty isn't going anywhere. Blake is going to give him a blank check and tell him to fill in the numbers. The Kings don't have any other big money free agents coming up in the near future, so they can afford to be a little loose with the checkbook and wait for the cap to rise to gain more space.

We've got a nice long Steen contract with a dash of Patrik Berglund.
If you want some youth I could offer you an Oskar Sundqvist too.

I remember thinking he had the best name in hockey. Next to Hakan Loob of course.

if you guys are moving karlsson, it has to be full rebuild.

karlsson is a bargain at $6.5M right now. anyteam acquiring karlsson should be thinking cup this year and next. no team should be giving up good/key roster players.

if he actually gets moved, someone should be willing to pay a really good package of futures for him.

Oskar Sundqvist is the modern day Mike Sillinger. A team will always take him even though no one really wants him.

Doughty is a great guy. I always see him in Guelph in the summer. Very down to earth and likeable. He likes to buy everyone at the bar free drinks. ☺

So, for the Oilers that's Draisaitl and 3 Firsts instead of 4?

A lot of “can’t mortgage the future” comments.

It’s a win now league, who cares about the future. Players primes are starting/ending earlier in their careers now.

Majority of teams windows are one season and done, might as well try and win it all.

it doesn't make a ton of sense for a team that won't make the playoffs this year to mortgage the future for 1.5 years of karlsson.

but idk, mabye in chiarelli's world it makes sense.
