Keith to shinpad ratio tonight was getting ridiculous. Not sure how you tell a grown-man, 2-time Norris Trophy winning gentleman how to figure it out... but maybe he learns something from Franson in practice.

Man would have loved to see Osterle win it. I think he's done pretty well tonight

Oesterle is really raw, but has some unteachable skills and instincts to him.

If he was to play regularly, you might be able to form him into a heck of a good 5/6 dman for $650k.

West is gonna be brutal. Hawks right now on outside looking in with Anaheim, the Oil, and Calgary behind them. Not only do the Hawks have to pass some teams, they have to watch out from being passed. Ducks have survived and are now starting to get healthy.

I don't consider Vancouver, Colorado or Coyotes a threat, so thats 12 teams vying for 8 spots. Gonna be a doozy.

Yes, but had to happen...two AHL teams in the 3, two OT wins and two of the opponents on the 2nd of a back to back.

What they do over the next 3 will say a lot more.

gotta luv nhl scheduling...first set of 3 at home all year and then they get to load up on frequent flyer miles 9 str travel games over the holidays from calgary new years eve to nyc on 1/3....thats terrific

Two so so wins against teams they should of buried and a win against a decent FLA team. Nice win tonight and Toews played well but lots of breakdowns and CC saved their ass again.

Real test begins now and for the next month. Will be interesting where the team stands as of mid to late Jan....to me this is the season. If they are successful they will make the post season and could surprise. Otherwise I see a fallout and a lottery pick in our future. I don't think it falls anywhere in middle.

Time to pull up their big boys pants and see what they got?

It took seven years and there was a lot of barking by the locals, but True North (owners) were patient and it seems are starting to be rewarded. All respects.

another 4-5 game winless streak could be the end for this year yet a winning streak only means keeping pace or picking a few points in the standing..

5 other teams are in the same cage: wild, ducks, stars, nucks, flames separated by 3 points...

all teams go through ups and downs...its possible the blues, jets and perds could have a major hickup..but if they do the hawks also must be getting points at the same time...

they have flames, nucks, wild coming up...the hawks season might be on the line these next 8 games...happy hiolidays...
