I'm terrible at estimating what UFAs end up getting but I think 2 years at $4M is where I'd start. He's a sure thing and compare that deal with some of the others the Flyers are paying. - fls13
4M total or 4M a year?

4 million per, for 2 more years of a declining Filppula?
No thanks - BiggE
Yeah, if he's talking 4M a year, no way. Not for two years.

That's what I thought he meant. I really think between Vecchs, Vorobyev and Rubtsov, that they can fill the 3C spot from within by 19-20. I also have no doubt that Patrick can step up and be the 2C next year. I have no problem signing an FA center after this season, but I'd rather overpay a vet on a 1 year deal than sign someone to a multi year deal. |

Haha, he's not declining, that's the thing. He's not at the peak of his game anymore but he's a guy who is going to continue to do a lot of things well including score at a regular pace for a few more years.
Yeah, I meant $4M per year for two. What he brings has value. |

Possibly, but there's absolutely no way to know that. He's hitting his mid 30's and could decline quickly. You just never know.
Edit: it's a speed game and a young man's league more than ever. |

He's 33 years old, of course he is declining. No way would I re-sign him for that money.

But he's a solid veteran player any team striving to be a cup/playoff contender would love to have.

Thank god Konecny is being taught the right lessons on the fourth line.
Dont want that kid getting thoughts of becoming a creative top 6 forward. |

I swear the flyers lead the league (perhaps all time) in letting up a goal within a minute after scoring a goal. |

All the feel good stories don't change one thing.
How many NHL clubs would willingly swap their tandem for the Flyers. The poopty goaltending is predictable.
Carter Hart you are our only hope. Along with your sister Sandstrom. |

It was (frank)ing awful and you know it. It made zero sense. I despise Scott Gimple, I hate the writing, I am incensed by the nonsense plot holes.

Flip has like 18 turnovers already, just need to say that before he scores. Guy must use a wet noodle stick. |
