That's what I thought he meant. I really think between Vecchs, Vorobyev and Rubtsov, that they can fill the 3C spot from within by 19-20. I also have no doubt that Patrick can step up and be the 2C next year. I have no problem signing an FA center after this season, but I'd rather overpay a vet on a 1 year deal than sign someone to a multi year deal.

Possibly, but there's absolutely no way to know that. He's hitting his mid 30's and could decline quickly. You just never know.
