i think it's the perfect time to move Gallagher. his value will never be higher. but i'm talking about a scenario where you're doing a major sell off. if you're keeping Price, Weber, etc. because this group is just ONE PIECE AWAY!!!!! then no sense moving Gallagher. - DoubleDown
I can't see the team moving most of the players. Picks and prospects are nice, but you also need to ice a team. This org can't draft or develop properly, so what gives? |

Id move Weber at the trade deadline, or at least call around. He'd bring in a lot I'd guess.
Not sure why you would move Gallagher. Yeah his value is never higher...but that's because he playing better than any forward on the team. He's the kind of guy you try and rebuild around. |

That was my point. The guy is young, you kow he plays hard every night and he has a decent contract. You build around guys like that. |

Not sure who'd offer anything for a small, 35 year old center coming off a 28 point season. - stormey

The problem is that it should be another guy than Bergevin making these moves at the deadline. His inflated ego will never allow him to trade Weber. I don't recall a GM being fired mid-season. So, it won't happen.
Those idiots will still be in the mix come trade deadline and they will make a last resort move to try and salvage the season, and end up missing the playoffs by a female genitalia hair. |

he's already 25. he's not going to be a guy who is effective offensively well into his 30s. he's getting too beaten up because of his style of play and the fact that just about every other forward on this team is a (frank)ing wussy. so yes in a scenario where you're selling off major pieces, you move him too. |

Webber can have an even bigger value to some teams because he already got alot of the money in his contract. Is last few years he's making like 3 millions or less. Could see a team like Carolina, Florida, Arizone or cheap Melnyk in Ottawa wanting a piece of that. |
