Well the tweet was commented upon and I saw the sky falling. So I just added that because we have the same record as last year by 2 points that, that 2 points could be a 7 point difference at the end of the year.

Agree but we need to make sure Demko is ready and not rush him in.

But Markstrom might get some value for a backup on a PO team hard to say.

- LordHumungous

I have solution to your problem.

Markstrom for Mrazek plus a pick.

Yah fair enough, either or, whoever gets you the most if demko is ready. Utica would be screwed though.

What did Anton Rodin do to the hockey gods. He broke his leg in Switzerland a few days ago, tripped and crashed into the boards. Out 8 weeks.

Holm was injuried in a Utica game. Edler needs blame just as much as the rest of the D. I didn't see any Stecher/Hutton mistakes last game. Game before Hutton had a good mistake that lead to a goal. They didn't cost the team a win last night, they also didn't help. A lot like Gaunce.

Probably have a few too many of those types right now. Thanks to injuries.

Stecher and Hutton both made a ton of mistakes last night, terrible break outs, a bunch of turnovers, they both seem to never make the smart/obvious pass out of the zone, instead they hesitate and end up making the more difficult, bone head plays.

As for Gaunce, Chaput, Dowd, Burmistrov, - it baffles me why they all get in before someone like Goldy, I guess being defensively responsible is more important than scoring...

Holm isn't injured, he's been sitting in the press box for 3 weeks.

“With Subban traded, the Comets have 10 defensemen on the roster. However, Evan McEneny is expected to be out six months after knee surgery and Jaime Sifers (out since Nov. 18 with a wrist injury; week-to-week) and Philip Holm (upper-body; day-to-day) have been out of the Comets’ lineup recently as well.”

“Injuries to Evan McEneny, Philip Holm, and Jaime Sifers on the back end have forced Chatfield and Brisebois into larger special-teams roles. Brisebois has filled in nicely on a Comets power play that ranks eighth in the league at an 18.6 percent conversion rate. The young defenseman is starting to find his way, collecting an assist in two straight games.”

Perhaps he is back now and aiming to get in a game, but he was most certainly injured recently

lol I should say that I want Utica to do well but AHL franchises are a lot like WHL franchises with just a huge rotating door of players. Very tough to put together a solid roster for two years let alone 4 years with constant call ups and player shuffling. It's nice when Utica does well but I'm not too concerned over it.

Pettersson just scored one of the sweetest goals on a wrist shot, top shelf - Vaxjo now up 5-4 on total goals in their Champions league playoff game

What a special player. Between Elias and Brock the Canucks should be set for years.

I sure hope Brock felt OK when he woke up this morning.

He and World Juniors are about the only positives we've got these days in Canuck nation.

Hellebuyck played 56 games last year and struggled, he's just improved this year, he's young. Luckily they didn't give up on him like the Oilers did with Dubnyk.
- LeftCoaster

Good point to make Leftcoaster. Hellebuyck actually worked out with Dubnyk over the summer with Dubnyks coach and results look positive. Helle certainly looks more confident in net this year. I think maturation a bit also factors in for the positive but again good point to make.

The hard part of Wpg goaltending situation since arriving in 2011 was watching subpar Pavelec. His numbers were consistently below NHL average and there was only one time I can remember him being a "good" and "consistent" goalie and that was the year the Jets made the playoffs. Both him and Hutchinson were good that year but Pavs went on a streak. Aside from that streak, he consistently stunk and the team most likely would have been playoff bound with better goaltending but management stuck with him.

As long as they actually sell at the TDL...otherwise it's just incompetence
- Nucker101

Or make a serious effort to sell vets like 2 seasons ago. Otherwise it can't be called anything else.
