I know that I'm in the minority on this one, but I could not care less if any Islander ever wins an individual award. Don't care if Barzal gets the Calder, JT the Hart/Art Ross/Rocket Richard, Halak the Vezina...none of those things matter to me.

I'm happy if they do win it, but if someone gets "robbed" or anything like that...I won't bat an eye.

Completely agree with what you're saying. I don't care that they win some award. The only reason it matters to me is that it means we have a top scorer in the league, a top rookie in the league etc... The vezina is what I care about the most out of anything. and again, not because he gets some trophy. It's because that means we would have the best goalie in the NHL on our team.

The only other upside to it would mean maybe the Isles get more media attention. But that literally means poop to me as well when it comes down to it.
