Why G back to center? Seems it would decrease his mileage and he's been playing well on wing IMO
- SimmerDown17

Yeah, one of the big questions coming in was how would G and V bounce back. If I told you on Labor Day that they'd have a combined 69 points in 29 games AND be a combined +13. you would have taken it and I would have too. The Flyers are at the if it ain't broke, don't fix it stage. I don't mind the idea of adding a veteran UFA stick in the offseason but not on one of those 7 year, $50 million deals.

When he got hit going into the end zone, I was certain he was injured. Then he gets up and throws that absurd TD to Jeffery and I was certain he wasn’t injured. Strange series of plays with an unfortunate outcome.
- arichardson22

I thought it was pretty obvious he was hurt during the next play. His face and neck turned a shade of red. I actually thought it was his hip initially.

James van Riemsdyk, Rick Nash, James Neal, Evander Kane. Just target one. I don't care which.

Was listening to WIP this morning to hear batpoop crazy (crazier) fans jumping off all of the bridges. Someone actually said that it was all Pederson's fault for calling the play which gave him the option to run.

Love it.

His knee definitely buckled on the hit my dude. He got tangled between 2 guys. First dude went low, second went high.
- Giroux_Is_God

You see more his right leg on the hit, and you’d think that was the leg. But it was his left. But more importantly he was also in midair, and that is very unusual to see an ACL injury like that in mid air without a foot plant. I mean those are more often non contact injuries and involve sudden cuts, it’s just weird to see it injured like that in mid air. Think about the physics of that and the torque required......he takes a last step immediately before the hit with his left foot.....

I know for a fact I read something that said they think it happened before the hit, but I can't remember where I saw it and have no recollection if I was actually just day dreaming about it

I'd gladly package Neuvirth and uncle Gudas to the Coilers. I'm sure there is something we could salvage from their team.

I thought concussion if anything since he dove head first. My optimistic side figured it was the LA heat that had him all red though. What frustrates me most is that play could have been prevented had we made those two easy interceptions earlier in the game. But I do believe in this team and the team character and chemistry they have had has been far above any Philly team in my recent memory (imo). If there’s a team that can rally behind a back up, it’s this one. Not likely at all but this team has enough offensive weapons to win games and our defense has been a staple all year long minus somewhat flakey performances against Seahawks and Rams. The eagles 100% have prepared for this and I’m glad we have a familiar face taking over.

I agree that the Eagles are going to have to change the way they play without Wentz. The Eagles defense has shown some leaks lately against good teams.
- MJL

If you constantly play nickel against the best rb in football right now, there will be some big runs.

And if you have the best running attack in football and call a pass play from 1st and goal from the 3 and your qb keeps trying to run linebackers over at the goal-line, an injury is inevitable.

I don't know why we Philly sports fans have to suffer so much.

I have a buddy who is a die hard Eagles fan. Like this guy does not hold anything back.

I have never seen him as upset as I did last night. He was blind with fury and despair.

Once upon a time, Donovan McNabb threw 4 TDs on a busted ankle:

I hope so too. Just trying to find any bright spots I can at the moment. We’ve had a next Man up mentality all season long and have dealt with injuries to Peters, Sproles, and Hicks and rose to the occasion with each injury. This injury will obviously be the biggest test but Nick Foles is no scrub. One positive is that rather than being thrown into the playoffs, Foles has a few weeks to settle and build chemistry.
