With Ottawa asking all players with no trade clauses to give them their list of teams they would OK a deal, does Hextall make a call on Bobby Ryan?

Serious question: If you have a 100% torn ACL, how the hell do you play 3 downs of football and casually walk from the field to the dressing room? Is Carson Wentz really The Incredible Hulk?
- jmatchett383

adrenaline...it looks like his knee even buckles a bit when he dropped back

Either way, that was badass.

He set the record for "Most TD Passes in a Season" with a torn ACL and "Most TD Passes in a Season with a Torn ACL"

I had a torn ACL in my left knee for over 6 months. It was the lesser of two injuries (I happened to shatter the right ankle at the same time). So we repaired the ankle and I lived with the ACL tear. I'm not a professional athlete but you can absolutely function with a torn one once the swelling goes down in the knee. I assume that with the combination of adrenaline and drive he was able to push through it even though he knew it wasn't right.

He allegedly collapsed off camera on his way to locker room but still, the guy is a warrior.

I heat that. But I work with a who's about the same size and is "a man's man" type of guy. And while he's not a pro athlete, he's a pretty solid guy. Said that in his 20's, he tore his ACL twice playing basketball and was in so much pain that he couldn't do anything but lay on the ground until an ambulance arrived.

I get being able to deal with pain and all, but at some point, walking should become physically impossible.

Blows. We can't have nice things.

Yeah, his actions yesterday seemed inconsistent with the diagnosis today.

I get the adrenaline while he was playing, but after sitting down in the tent, I would assume it wore off.

But yes, it was badass.

Grace, you need to stop swinging 40 lb sledgehammers at your ankle.

Oh, and (frank) Buffalo fans.

Can you imagine the outcry today if Philadelphia fans had been the ones throwing snowballs on the field during game play yesterday?

I'm trying to imagine how different that scene would be if that was a basketball player instead of Wentz.

Yep, the injury ended my "not so" illustrious martial arts time but did prove that my husband was a keeper. We have a deal that he gets to break something next (which means I can't until he does so). Hardest part of that year was kicking pain killers 3 times. I was in a car accident (not my fault) not long after they repaired the ACL and was back on them. glad that period of my life is over. Nifty scars though, hahaha....

James van Riemsdyk, Rick Nash, James Neal, Evander Kane. Just target one. I don't care which.

For the seasons from 2020 to 2025, the Flyers are looking very good . . . on paper.

Unless this kid can break dance in the crease while juggling flaming swords and still save the puck (which he may very well be capable of) I don't see him starting next season as a Flyer but if he continues to develop at this pace you could see a call up at some point in the season.

So Ek updated his rumor chart to show Neuvirth as a 30% to stay with us and 40% to be traded to the Oilers and 30% to the Panthers. What do you guys think?

I'm still very open to extending Filppula. Solid half point a game center with a Cup ring and a ton of high level intl experience who plays solidly in every situation. Who's coming on in the pipeline who can replace that next year?
- fls13

I would rather target one of the many top six LWs in free agency and get G back into the center role.

Once upon a time, Donovan McNabb threw 4 TDs on a busted ankle:
