With Ottawa asking all players with no trade clauses to give them their list of teams they would OK a deal, does Hextall make a call on Bobby Ryan? - SimmerDown
I sincerely hope not |

if we can dump some deadweight back to them - 2Real
Either Lehtera, Gudas, or Weise + STL first this year? is that enough or do you have to throw in a mid level prospect as well? |

Very excited to see Filppula, Read, Manning (hopefully) and Umberger's cap hits go. I would buy out Lehtera. - SuperSchennBros
I'm still very open to extending Filppula. Solid half point a game center with a Cup ring and a ton of high level intl experience who plays solidly in every situation. Who's coming on in the pipeline who can replace that next year? |

I like him as well but he'd need to take a pay cut. I'd only offer in the 3M - 4M range... |

No, Hextall should also tender his resignation if he deals for Bobby Ryan.
This team isn’t close to competing for a cup. Why give up any kind of asset for a player like Ryan? |

Yeah, he got that fat TB deal when he was at the top of his game. The Flyers are still desperate for veteran forwards who can play. Subtracting Filppula from the mix doesn't make the team better. It depends on what he's looking for since he's the UFA. I'm leaning towards keeping him, term mattering to me more than price. |

I've never understood the infatuation with Bobby Ryan. He's not that good and makes a metric (frank) ton of money. No way in hell am I giving up 1st round pick+ for that guy. |

As in a shorter term? He's 33. What length would you give him? |

I thought Vecchione was being groomed as the next Filppula or is he Laughtons replacement? Either way I don't see both those centers here next season. |

If I could get him signed, I would think two at a minimum, maybe three at most. His role can shrink over time and he can still help your team and again, who's in the pipeline to replace what he does in the near term? I think they're solid down the middle the next couple years with Couts, Fill and Patrick. Frost or Robtsov or anyone else won't be ready that soon. |

Serious question: If you have a 100% torn ACL, how the hell do you play 3 downs of football and casually walk from the field to the dressing room? Is Carson Wentz really The Incredible Hulk? |

Hope this lights a bigger fire under Sanheim's saddle.
Once back in, he goes all Lou Gerhig, and never comes out of lineup again.

He allegedly collapsed off camera on his way to locker room but still, the guy is a warrior. |
