Very excited to see Filppula, Read, Manning (hopefully) and Umberger's cap hits go. I would buy out Lehtera.

Lately people have been talking blockbuster deal. First I would bring back Simmonds, depending on term. After the Simmonds situation is taken care of (traded or signed) I would make a splash of some sort. I don't expect it to be easy but this summer marks Hextall heading into his fifth season as GM. Giroux, Voracek and a Simmonds aren't getting younger. Do something impactful that doesn't gut this team and raises the bar in season expectation.

Anyone aware of this summer's UFA crop?

Bill just said he Sanheim took extra skating which usually means scratch but in fact he did it on his own so false alarm....thank goodness. I am already in mourning over Wentz didn't feel like I could muster up anger

This blows. Is Jeff Garcia available to backup Foles?

What makes it even harder is the fact the left side of the Eagles O line is mediocre at best. Foles unlike Wentz, doesn't have the ability to extend plays and make something happen.

Sure they can beat the mess that used to be the Giants and beat the Raiders at the Linc with Foles. That would get them to 13-2 and probably render the last game against Dallas meaningless, at least for the Eages.

The big question then is even with home field advantage, can they beat 2 good teams with Foles at QB to get to the Super Bowl? I want to believe, but I just don't see it happening.
