Brock Boeser is now 7th in the NHL in goals per game.

He is ahead of:
Connor McDavid
Sidney Crosby
Patrik Laine
Auston Matthews
Filip Forsberg
Tyler Seguin
Mark Scheifele
Vladimir Tarasenko
Steven Stamkos
Jamie Benn
Johnny Gaudreau
Patrick Kane
Evegeni Malkin

The problem with putting Jake with Gaunce is Gaunce does not finish . It is very hard for JV to raise his numbers if his line mates can't finish.

I rather they didn't give him the pay day and signed Kerfoot and Butcher who are doing well. But guess those two knew better that very little opportunity would be given to rookies. You have to be BB like to bust through. Hope next season they don't extend Sedins so better players that aren't about helping them can be added.
- Nuck4U

I rather neither Gagner nor Kerfoot but was wanting Butcher for a free D. Idk he would turn out this good though.

True but if Gaunce digs out the puck & JV finds openings it could be ok. Puts a lot of expectstions on Gaunce though.

So much is lacking on our D it makes it harder for F’s to do better.

Offer for OEL starting with Tanev plus what?
Sign Carlson as a UFA after that.

Lack play making centers. Or one that is decent at least and can win a face-off. Even the odd face-off

For Jets game would like this blend given slim choices.

Sedins BB
LE Granlund Vanek
Goldy Burmi JV
Gaunce Chaput Gagner

Dowd needs practice time with Manny and learning TG system. Gagner is a liability 5x5 have him earn some offense with energy guys. Sedins could at least get BB set up to shoot more. LE and Granlund have worked well together on PK could give cover to Vanek who is next best finisher behind BB. GIVE JV more offensive fast guys in layered role where also Goldy and Burmi could produce.

You're cutting off your nose to spite your face. The team isn't ready to compete, they're rebuilding, why the (frank) would they spend assets for a guy signed for one more year?

Let them continue to build through the draft and develop their kids. You make a move for OEL when you've built strength in your organization through drafting and or your ready to compete.

Have some patience!

since his return from knee injury a month ago, #Canucks Edler leads #NHL in minor penalties taken. The league has changed. Can he? (column includes a crazy Edler vs Tanev penalty stat)

Gaunce led all #Canucks forwards with 6:45 of 3rd period ice time. Played hard all night and wasn't on for any of #Flames goals. But fact he led in 3rd shows Nux weren't looking to extend lead.

#Canucks Vanek played 7 shifts in 3rd period. Flames scored on three of them (including empty netter)

Yep. These jaguars are cocky rookies too. Can't stand their celebrations after routine plays. Hopefully Seahawks come back here and shut them up.

Ps: Blair Walsh should be released.

Jags are legit, at least defensively, and with Fournette running. Bortles will be their downfall though, he gets exposed against good teams.

Exactly. It's not hard to see that a large group of fans are looking at what they do in the mindset of fans... not coaches.

Gaunce had another solid game down low and along the boards. He seems faster this season as well... again again he seems to get chances he doesnt finish... a coach would love those to be goals of course but the second best thing in their eyes is which end of the ice the a+ chances are at when he throws a line out.

Yup, fans just see the hits and goals, but he had an effective game doing the dirty work.

In the end he does need to produce. I dont care if he doesnt score, if he can assists. If he can keep the other team off the score sheet, hes going to get games.

I agree, but if a player keeps playing well, some offense will eventually come. He doens't have a lot of skill, but bad luck has a played a role in his lack of offense.

I doubt he will ever get more then 20 points in a season. Unless he plays with McDavid who can spoon feed him goals 😂
