Maybe Bo can be our Zetterberg and Pettersson can be our Datsyuk?

I so wish they had a second line or a line to play in front of them during their prime. They were fun to watch but you're right they didn't have that fighting 'will' to win. Perhaps they did but it did show outwardly.

Oh well....back to the drawing board.

In that 10-11 season, you saw something different from the Sedin's and the team. Mainly the Sedin's, there wasn't 17 passes behind the net. It was 1 pass, 2 pass and the puck went towards the net. It was just something that I hadn't seen the Sedin's do much. There was very little perimeter play. No lead was safe for the other team.

The next season you they went back to the same thing. Haven't gone back. They could and can go to the net. They just chose not too.

Did you know Crosby is 6th overall in NHL history in terms of PPG, Malkin is 14th, didn't know they were that high.

With Dorsett having to retire to early it made me look back on so many other careers that got cut short because the put their bodies on the line in different ways for the game. It is not a small list and they were all extreme talents. Bossy, Bure, Forsberg, Lindros, Lemuiex just to name a few.

One of my favourite players of all time. I didnt really like his philosophy on other aspects of the game but what he brought and did to win was pretty amazing.

I like the Selke type player the most in the league. Not many Selke guys are that grind it out type though. Kesler maybe without the antics.

I haven’t been to the woodpile yet. Soon.

It sure is nice to come on here when the last 4 paged are the regular crew. I like Sunday.

I think it stays away after losses. No reason to wave the pom-poms.
It is very refreshing to banter with the regular crowd. It will be shattered before too long so I guess we should enjoy it while we can.
Meet you at the bouncy castle.

Ya there was a price to be paid back in those days and some guys bodies just don't hold up with the punishment.

Exactly, how many teams have a player that never scores or rarely puts up assists and continues to be in the lineup? Its like people are settling for his uselessness. I don't think its much to ask to simply replace him with a 4th liner that can and will the same thing, except score the odd goal and put up a few points.

The answer to this question, quite literally, is every other team.

Don't think anyone has.

CBC HNIC early 1960s went head first into the boards broke his neck paralyzed for life.

Tough bastard . Here is a picture after a fight with Gordie

I think Brooksy had the same contempt towards Dorsett.
Gonner must be his new boy.
