Nash has to go, no need to pay a PK player 7.8 mil. Once great, it’s no longer working here. He may go on to somewhat resurrect his career elsewhere, but time has come.

It's imperative that A.V. starts Hank tonight on back to back nights in a critical, local divisional match up at home vs. the Devils, despite NJ also coming off a divisional game loss last night. The Rangers also have a poor 3-4-2 record against Metro. Div. teams, with all 3 wins being aided by great luck, in Pavelec's win over the Penguins on Tuesday night, preceded by their 2 wins against Carolina since Nov. 22nd, aided by Canes goalie, Scott Darling's major gaffes in goal playing a key in both wins.
This weekend's Caps and Devils match ups are finally their first of 9 sets of back to back date games of the season. Should they again only qualify for the postseason via a Wild Card spot, excluding one game against Tampa (who will likely win the Atlantic Div.), 7 other back to backs of those 16 games will be against Eastern Conf. teams, some of whom they must beat out, who all currently appear will be in the hunt close to the season's end. That will make it necessary for Hank to start both games on back to back dates on at least 4 or 5 of those 8 remaining occasions. So he might as well do so most importantly for now tonight, prior to next weekend's back to backs at home vs. L.A. and at Boston, to be followed by the final 7 sets from Jan. through March.
