He did. And I don't want to get into a long winded convo about Elliott during this nice little stretch of 3 games, I don't want to look like I am looking for negatives, there will be plenty more opportunities for that as the season plays out.
My only argument is he was unable to steal a win when his team needed him too.
But, yes, he is playing well, minus the rebound control. - ggunky
I agree, he played very well through the losing streak but did not steal any wins.
The first ten minutes last night Elliot was amazing and felt like Elliot keeping them in it was a huge key to the W |

I agree with Bill that Sanheim should be used on PP2. It could go the rest of the season without generating another goal at this rate. - Feanor

Sanheim was made to be a rover on the PP |

It's my opinion that Raffl can play a 3rd line role on any team including a top team. He skates and pressures the puck well, plays well defensively, is strong on the forecheck. The more skilled players he plays with the better player he will be. It's a symbiotic relationship. - MJL
I'm not so sure about that. Vegas took Bellemare over him in the draft. He was pretty much a last resort for stepping up to a Top 9 role. I'm glad he's got something going with Filppula and Voracek but you have to produce at a consistent pace for a Top 9 role. He's doing it now and if he keeps producing at a consistent pace no one on this team is taking the spot from him, but that's hardly a lock. |

Agree, he seems to have some nice chemistry with Jake but he looked good with Laughton too.
I think Hexy was hoping Weise would bring something similar to what Raffl does. |

I understand why Hakstol had Raffl on the 4th line. He wants depth through the lineup but Raffl is a better player than Weise is all day long and then some.

I think Vegas took PEB primarily because of his leadership role. For a team that's been thrown together, you need guys on there that can help keep the room close. If nothing else, PEB is a class act and team-first guy. For proof, look no further than him declining player of the game honors at the World Championships to give it to his goalie. |

For those that missed the game last there was a scary moment in the 1st with Laughton.
He went head first into the linesman and hyperextended his neck, collapsed on the ice and for a minute I thought he was done.
To see him back in the 2nd period was a minor miracle.
Reminded me a bit of how BSchenn sometimes bounced up from a crushing hit without being injured. |

This season with all the rookies has made me appreciate Amac’s game. I think he has shown he is a very useful vet to have around.
I mean, he’s no Provorov but he definitely helps stabilize things. |

AMac has actually played (relatively) well the last 2 years. If it wasn't for the length and value, I have no issue with him. I think that he's a #5 defenseman being deployed as a top-pair defender and that makes his warts stand out. But if he were on a 3-year deal making $3M per, I'd have no problem with him as a bottom-3 defender.
But yes, his veteran presence seems to have a nice effect. |

I have always been a realist in my expectations of him. Aside from the contract, just considering his play on the ice.
When he is backing up defending almost to the crease it drives me crazy. Ideally he wouldn’t have to be used on a top PK unit.
But he is a plus skater, makes a pretty good first pass, and has always been a great shot blocker.
With Sanheim, Hagg, and Ghost all in the mix, I think Amac has been valuable veteran guy this season. |

A Mac seems to be playing a simple, steady game. It helps the whole group. That he plays with Provey doesn't hurt his game either. Don't care what he makes, Flyers don't have cap issues and just heard they are looking at 80 to 82 mil cap. |

Probably has something to do with his actually playing better this season. Sure some folks would be on him no matter what, but not nearly as many if he had played this well from day one. It's great to see.

The context was, I mentioned that when Hexy signed Weise, he was hoping for a guy that had some of the same qualities Raffl brings. Hoping he could play up and down the line up, based on what he produced in Montreal, I guess.
He hasn’t exactly panned out like that. |

LOL, not even close. Perhaps he could one day be that player for LHV.

Perhaps I didn't word it correctly. 99 points in 298 games = .33 points per game.
That's 4th line production IMO.
