i dont think Maine exists
- KINGKENZO

Maine does exist, I have been there a few times. There was this land North of where I was. Some one called it Canada or something like that. Just looked like more Maine to me but only worth 75 cents on the dollar.

Laberge is damaged goods as a prospect at this point.

The next two picks for the Flyers that year however..

- Lip_Out

Every pick in 2016 but Laberge looks like a good one. Hopefully the kid can turn it around as a pro next season.

Would like to see Rubtsov's #'s take a jump the rest of the year with his new team in the Q.

Yup, Frosty the Goalman is setting a high standard for German to compete with.

Did anyone else notice who Hak had out on the ice for the remaining 14 seconds to secure the game??

Hindsight is always 20-20, but it would have been nice to diversify our talent pool with a picking Debrincat. But he's not really the type of player the flyers seem to go after in recent draft years.

Then again, we already have a couple of smaller forwards on the team right now, although, at this stage, Debrincat seems a bit further in his development.

I wonder why Raffl has been consistently incorrectly utilized since Hakstol has been coach here. I mean he started the season on the 4th unit but he's always been a top 6 guy IMO. He's got wheels and decent size and his board work and takeaways speak volumes.

In all honesty I was hoping to lose 3 in Canada and wave Bye Bye to Hak.
However, happy to get 6 points. Would rather see them play well/ok then horrible.
Future is murky.

I don't think he's been incorrectly used, but I do think you get the best out of him in the middle six, especially the way this roster is currently constructed.

What I mean by I don't think he was incorrectly used is that Raffl can play any way you ask him to. Raffl is like Couts in that he does a lot of the little things very well and can play with a lot of different types of players because of it. It's not like his game has changed that much in the last couple games. Since he's playing with more skill guys, he's getting the puck in better scoring opportunities. He's always had a great connection with Jake, so it's no surprise that once he was moved up with Jake, he starts putting the puck in the net.

Rafl has not been used on the 4th unit prior to this year. He should not be on the top six. He is a fair 3rd line and the PERFECT 4th line player on A GOOD TEAM. He is on the second line because the Flyers are not currently a good team.
I wouldn't (frank) with the lines now, as things are working. I would like to see:
11-14-93
28-19-17
12-51-40
20-21-22

Or please bring Veccs up for Weiss.

I really would like to see how Patrick could do with G. Just not sure how much Coots means to Gs revival. I don't want Patrick's development to be at Gs expense.

He hadn't been putting up numbers since he popped 20+ playing with G and V a few years ago now. When you have to tinker with the lines, is the guy who has literally no points at all 20+ games in your first step up option? I'm surprised and happy as a clam Raffl is on a nice hot streak and I hope he keeps it going, but I'll hardly blame Hakstol that Raffl was roughly his last option and not his first.

Aside from both traditional and fancy stats, Raffl seemed like he was playing well, he just wasn't getting any breaks. He got robbed a handful of times and his linemates weren't helping much. He also wins his fair share of boards battles but could learn to use his size a bit more at times. I don't expect him to put up 20+ goals, but I think that 10-12 goals, 15-20 assists, and solid 2-way play is doable for him, which I will gladly take.

For this year, the lineup pretty much is what it is. For next season though, I'm hoping to see something like the following on opening night. This lineup assumes that Simmonds is still here, but that Gudas has been traded for picks and/or prospects.

G-Coots-Simmonds
TK-Patrick-Voracek
Lindblom-Laughton-Weal
Leier-Vecchione-Raffl
spares: Lehtera and Weise

Provorov-Hagg or Ghost depending on game situations
Sanheim-AMac
Morin-Ghost or Hagg
spare: veteran FA on a 1 year deal less than 1.5 million

Elliott
Neuvirth

I'm pretty sure Scientology is real, there are more than enough idiots in the world to keep the scam going. Wyoming and Australia are obviously just made up words though.
