He did. And I don't want to get into a long winded convo about Elliott during this nice little stretch of 3 games, I don't want to look like I am looking for negatives, there will be plenty more opportunities for that as the season plays out.

My only argument is he was unable to steal a win when his team needed him too.

But, yes, he is playing well, minus the rebound control.

I don't think that's the case in my opinion. Look at Elliott's past. He's started more than 50 games once in his career and that was 7 years ago.

I agree with Bill that Sanheim should be used on PP2. It could go the rest of the season without generating another goal at this rate.

I know Lyon will only be a up for a short time but getting to talk and practice with Elliot has to be a plus.

Trade Jake. He's holding them back with his awful contract and laziness and bad shot and awful defense. Scoring isn't everything. 3 points and was still +0.

Fire Hexy and Hak?

Still not sold on Hak as the head coach I want to see at the helm of this team next year, but I give him full props for getting this team focused and leading them to a western Canada sweep.

I'm also very impressed with the play of and the leadership shown by Brian Elliott on this trip. He was a rock.

As do I! They will get a high pick anyway when Hexy packages our two firsts to move up.

I think Brennan and Lyon will play for the Phantoms on Saturday. Brennan will stay down with the Gudas suspension ending, but Lyon will come back up if Neuvirth won't be ready to back up Elliott on Tuesday.

It is amazing when your goalie plays well how the rest of the team looks so much more competent.

This was exactly the point I was making during the losing streak, good goalies help stop a losing streak or snap a funk the team finds itself mired in.
