I wonder if that was a reason Mason was let go. With all the youth starting to filter in they wanted someone more of a calming influence/low key type personality.

I am not totally sure but just seems Mason might have been more high maintenance compared to someone like Elliott. Just my view.

Elliott was very good last night.

The one goal he gave up was from poor rebound control, which is something he struggles with consistently.

I know it is a lot to ask of a guy who is a 1B but the way he played last night is what I expect of a player who was brought in to be the guy.

I think it had a lot to do with it. Elliott has a rep as being a team first guy and an excellent teammate. He's a great guy to have on a developing team.

I think you can arrange for pre delivered food in the private suites but not in the club boxes.

I know Lyon will only be a up for a short time but getting to talk and practice with Elliot has to be a plus.

Wayne Simmonds is coming around. You can see that he has more jump and looks more dangerous out there.

I assume Giroux and Jake will continue to be awesome while Couts gives you about 65 points on the year if healthy while shutting down the opposition.

If the ascension of Train is as appears and the kids get the feet underneath them things might be looking a whole lot better.

Moose has been steady as well.

It is amazing when your goalie plays well how the rest of the team looks so much more competent.

This was exactly the point I was making during the losing streak, good goalies help stop a losing streak or snap a funk the team finds itself mired in.

I don't think that's the case in my opinion. Look at Elliott's past. He's started more than 50 games once in his career and that was 7 years ago.
