That'd put him three points up on Gudbranson

Not a fan of Either Sam from the 2014 draft

Bennett takes a ton of penalties and is always chasing the puck.

Reinhart's skating has barely improved at all.

We kinda try to pump up his value to get some hype going for a good trade

I'll probably get called out for spilling the beans right now.

Yeah Canuck fans have to be their own TSN.

Say, while you're here, do you know where we could find out more about these Maple Leafs? They played here last weekend and seem to have a good young team. We don't get much coverage on them in the local media so it's hard to follow who's who and what's going on with them.

Seems like the WJC is looked at by Bracket as a measuring stick for his drafted prospects.

I didn't take it as it's Bracketts measuring stick at all, so you're all good. Just another step in prospects development. Hopefully some of them make their teams.

Stupid Bracket... he shouldn't be so excited... it's just another step... no big deal.

*Disclaimer: I do always think the tournament is a nice window at how prospects play against their own age, but still dont put much stock on it, high or low for drafted players*

His only quote regarding the actual tournament was
“It’s an exciting group as a whole,” said Judd Brackett, the Canucks’ director of amateur scouting from his home in Cape Cod. “They’ve earned their opportunity. Now we’ll see if they’re ready to take the next step. There’s going to be a lot of us watching (from the Canucks’ organization).”

They obviously hope their prospects step up and shine in the tournament against kids, but the rest of the quotes indicate they are more closely assessing/analyzing their regular season play against men; which was my point in our discussion - I think they value it more

Ya. It's not so bad though because now I can watch the Jet's play the full game 6:30 start here. I usually can't watch that much hockey in a row though. 3rd world problems.

Jesus. Literally every fan in the east still thinks this guy is a good defenseman. I'm surprised to be hearing this. The things you learn when you wander into a Canucks thread....
- Jeffmt

He would be the best partner Rielly could ever ask for 70ish games a season. The guy will play through inuries during playoffs though. His injuries are not re-occurring, it is always something new, usually from blocking a shot.

It's great to see Gino doing better these days. Even though he was known mostly for his time with the 'Nucks, he did a short tour in Philly and was respected by the fans. I assume he's doing better and that his condition is no longer considered terminal. Is this true?

I won't go over the other parts to the article here not to pontificate the issue. But the weight of which is given more value was never the point or of contention.

It was the quality and volume of having Canuck prospects at WJC; as well as, perform on good teams. This is a development measure which factor's into these players showing prospect value and having a legitimate chance for progression. To which some may compete for a Canuck roster spot sooner then later. The impact of that progressing the rebuild.

Just an add on commentary of clarification. Only 2 of these prospects should be in the running for Canuck roster next season. The other two for Comets and the rest stay within their league development track.
