4 years of Hextall drafting. 256 games. No one traded away.
4 years of Benning drafting. 382 games. 2 traded away, 1 in Russia. 2 playing.
Slight difference in styles.
Edit: Even Toronto has only 355 games played from the past 4 drafts. - manvanfan

What he's doing, last word on this, is taking what he deemed an unsuccessful blueprint of a team and changing it by building through the draft. Something I wish the Canucks would have done after the 2012 season. A successful President's Trophy team with no chance to compete for a Cup again.
It requires patience and you can see that by him not trying shortcuts, aka Jim Benning, he's keeping all his prospects, developing them while continuing to build through the draft. You can take shortcuts when you think you're team is ready to be competitive or you have depth at one position from drafting.
IMO Benning had a great opportunity to be a lot further ahead than the Flyers if they'd have started in 2014. But clearly Aquilini wouldn't let that happen. |

Rasmus Dahlin has 1 points in his past 10 games. I don't hear much about him on here anymore. |

People wondering about Nic Dowd:
Very hard to move off the puck, strong down low, good forechecker, works the boards, brings lunch pail, has a heavy if slow release, is a straight line skater, not a lot of creativity but will earn effort goals. Legitimate 4th liner. |
