Anyone remember the years where the Flyers were always here on New Years Eve?

I always wondered about that..... there are some games that always "just seem to happen"... such as The Canucks always have a morning game in Boston and in Detroit.

Do teams have the ability to "request" a certain number of games that obviously give them an advantage?
