I've often said that a coaches top priority is to win games so that is what the coach is doing in the 3rd period. However that doesn't mean that decisions like moving Giroux shouldn't be made because he can be effective and help the team win playing the wing. and it's better for the future.
Like I've said multiple times, I think you're correct in stating that right now, playing Giroux at center would make the Flyers a better team now.
Voracek is a puck distributor from the wing that they can use to help other players.

By moving Giroux to wing they also were able to find out that Couturier can provide solid offense as a top center.

Also I think getting Patrick changed things. And I still think the Flyers feel he will eventually take a step forward and log more minutes and provide more.

And I still think this makes a run at the wildcard spot. They are 6 points back right now and a ton of games against division foes.

Lip_Out is still meh with me, I don't get the scoob obsession, I haven't decided if it's too much. It's certainly not rinaldo like, where it's just constant goading

Right? I admittedly don't backread

What slows traffic down more, sun glare or inclement weather.

Argue, I mean discuss for the next 20 pages. And remember, everyone is right and everyone is wrong at the same time.

I hope you're correct but I see the playoffs as a long shot at best at this point.

Brotato chip, I do really think Nolan Patrick was impacted by that concussion he had.
- johndewar

That and much like Giroux last year, I don't think Patrick is where he wants to be with those abdominal surgeries.

Question, if you drive in the left lane for only about 8 to 10 minutes a game, I mean commute, will that ruin your development?

What is your position on a 3 lane highway? If you normally drive in the center lane, but are moved to the left lane, should you be moved back to the center lane because that is your natural lane?

Maybe.

But all it takes is a run.

I understand it will be hard. Again I always thought they were a bubble team. But i think they will make it close.

ever driven in europe? it is incredible.

flashing your high beams at someone is a way of warning them that you are approaching quickly and they should get over. do that here and you're guaranteed to get boxed out and brake checked for miles

I don't think they should move G back to center. In fact, I personally don't want to see him playing center ever again. I believe it will extend his longevity, and productivity.
- MBFlyerfan

Giroux looks really good on the wing , very noticeable out there and he is still taking quite a bit of faceoffs. I think keeping him at the wing will be good for him long term. Less wear and tear from all of the defensive responsibilities of playing center. Seems like he has more room to make plays on the LW as well not to mention you see him making plays quite often from the side boards as he does on the PP with the move to the wing so there is some familiarity there. Giroux should only go back to center if there are injuries.
