Were they the same draft class? I don't remember and don't feel like looking it up. I do know that Nylander went straight to the AHL when we drafted him and was one of the youngest kids there. This was the year I wanted to see what he had, but the injury didn't help.

I don't hate Nylander, I like Nylander. I hope Nylander becomes an absolute stud. He's incredibly skilled

That doesn't change the fact that he had very poor performances at the end of the WJ's, in the tougher games, and he's had a rocky start in the AHL.

They never wanted halak that was just a throw-in and to trade him later on

Neuvirth probably kept it close to his chest but he hated how buffalo was taking on purpose and he wanted no part of it and Tim Murray gave him an ultimatum so he traded him

Maybe I'm missing the sarcasm but shouldn't we give a prospect time to develop before we jump there? He was a kid in the AHL on a bad team last year, he's hardly played after an injury this year. Let's see what we've got before saying he's a bum.

Idk, Kids excel faster than ever now. Don't they? Laine lit up the NHL last year. I get lighting up the NHL and bum are opposite ends of the spectrum, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

the book on nylander was that he had elite skills (possibly the highest skill-level in the draft) but that he, like armia, also disappeared but was awesome when he showed up...

personally, I really wanted sergachev, but that wasn't to be...

however, i'm interested in seeing how he develops under Botterill and Co...will be a major factor
