That said, it's possible for both sides of the argument to have an element of truth to them. Companies, including pharma companies, are in this to make money. Do I believe that vaccinations are unnecessary or even harmful? No. But companies have been cutting costs in the name of profit since the beginning of time. It's not at all unthinkable that these vaccines contain ingredients that are not the most optimal for human health because it would be more expensive to do so.

These people have no concept of herd immunity or the terrible repercussions of contracting one of these diseases, because nobody from this generation has ever seen the effects of meningitis, polio, etc. I worked odd jobs for a retired aerospace engineer (he must be part of the flat earth conspiracy) during summers in college who contracted polio a year or two before the vaccine became available. I wonder what he would think about all this

These people have no concept of herd immunity or the terrible repercussions of contracting one of these diseases, because nobody from this generation has ever seen the effects of meningitis, polio, etc. I worked odd jobs for a retired aerospace engineer (he must be part of the flat earth conspiracy) during summers in college who contracted polio a year or two before the vaccine became available. Exactly. I find it interesting that people who believe this are often stay at home moms in the most developed nation the Earth has ever seen. Like the GMO debate, hey, if you want to buy organic and can afford it, I'm all about it enjoy yourself. However, stop trying to ban it. If you do approximately 10 - 15% of the Earth's population starves. Starving is a little more pressing issue than GMO's.

Side note: I'm in food distribution, specifically working on the GS1 food initiative for tracebaility, what it takes to get an organic label is a joke. And guess what foods have the most recalls because of food borne illnesses?
