Special teams are completely sewered, the team isn't winning and consistently doesn't show up. I'm not gonna say it's all his fault, but his stubborn inability/unwillingness to adapt hasn't helped. Also, it'll help us get one step closer to firing Chiarelli.

You could make a case for either or really.....for reasons you stated he could be fired but also he was dealt kind of a poop hand as well due to the moves made in the off season....I know its up to the coach to make it work with what he has but still PC did him no favors at all

Why do they have McDavid on the pk? Sure he’ll get the odd shorty but it seems risky for him to have to block shots. Can’t think of any superstar centres killing penalties in the league off the top of my head.

McClellan wants him to get hurt blocking shots, and he also wants him to be tired during 5 on 5 play and on power plays.

I cringe every time I see him standing there when a slapshot is unleashed. He’s your gamebreaker and he’s playing too many minutes because of his time on the pk.

I'd rather see picks added than retain any salary.

If Chia could somehow move the Lucic and Russell contracts without retaining salary, adding first/second round picks, or using a buyout then I would accept him again.
