Remember how we all got on Bickell his last year with the Hawks. Than we all got the sad news the next year. I truly believe, Toews got some major health problems. His play is a fraction of what it was 2 years ago. I think McD is going to have to address Toews ice issues sooner or later because it is really sad to see him struggle so much on the ice... Their has to be a reason.

Keep dreaming my friend. Seabrook for a bag of pucks and $7mil in cap space to improve the roster via free agency next summer.

I just hope Bowman has the stones to do it now. Rather than wait and he's stuck with contract for 5 more seasons.

The lines look good. They had some jump and just as I was hoping, the Hayden, Hartman, Bouma, Wingels infectious, hard skating/hitting style was working up front.

Should be 1-1 if they (/Forsberg) didn't have that breakdown. On the WASH goals:

Goal #1: Keith turnover puts Rutta in tough position to defend a quick pass to the slot.

Goal #2: Forgberg took his eye off Wilson and the puck to see Backstrom cut through the slot and let up a terrible (terrible!) goal.

Goal #3: Keith caught pinching and Franson and AA not quick enough to catch up to lob pass. Then bad rebound by Forsberg, coupled with Keith doing a fly by and AA not picking up the puck or taking OV.

Not ideal.

Agreed JL.....the kids are hustling and playing well. It's the usual suspects that are draggin......Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook and Sharp. Very sad that this CORE has sunk to this level.

Just wondering if there'd be a difference with Kampf, Dauphin, Hinestroza, Sizemore, and Gusraffson ??
At least there'd be NO gliding there.

Even if they end up winning tonight. It's time to see Kempny back in.

2-5
42-44
6-7

Need more speed back there.

That would be a start, it might take pressure off of
Keith to having to Mr all world and let the game
come to him.

Exactly right. Milbury nailed it with the perimeter shots by the Hawks for most of the night. How many consecutive losses are needed before Bowman realizes that whatever his plan is to improve this team, he needs to accelerate it rapidly. Either sell or buy, but standing pat will cause this team to lose a lot of casual Chicago sport fans.

It doesn't matter who is at fault or if the team is playing well but just not scoring. If the losses continue there will be changes.

Ouch ! Once again Hawks had three days off and they soil the ice. I think the clock is ticking for Q and his staff.

It really is mind blowing how far Toews game has fallin off!
I would put him in the top 100 players in the NHL today, let alone ever!
Never seen a core fall so far so fast!
All but Kane, and even his game isn’t what it was.
Not liking the Saad trade right now.
At least we had 1 consistent line then.
Right now we don’t have any!
The play of kieth, Seabrook and Toews just horrible. There’s no quick fix for this team, needs a rebuild but I don’t see that happening with the awful contracts hindering it!

Well if nothing else, expectations for this season are about done. The high priced core has run out of gas it appears. A victim of their own success...the ride to the bottom may be just as ugly as the climb to the top was pretty. Buckle up boys...there is virtually no help on the farm, unmovable contracts from under performing players all equal what is likely to be a horrid result.

Going Forward If the Hawks become the worst team in the Central next year or this year.

What are Toews and Kane to do?

Do it now. Why wait? Everything with this team is stale save for a couple of younger players. It’s time. You can see the complacency. No one is skating hard. Fly-bys in front of the net. Flat footed D-men.

Panik seeing time back on the top line. Hartman has not seen the ice the last while. Thought he was playing really well. Not sure what's up there.
- Justin Lowe

Q has become an issue, IMO, the game and team has changed
big time since 2015, it's younger, faster and more special team
oriented. Youngsters need to play and learn not sit and watch.

W/out looking I'm guessing the top 5 PP teams are all in the
hunt for a Cup, for ever since Q we keep hearing how we have
so much talent yet the PP stinks.

So when does the selling start and who goes?

Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver. Not sure what it would take to get it done, but it's worth the call.
- scott.jackson

It will probably have to be a team that hangs around the cap floor that would want to take on Seabrook's contract, kind of like Arizona did with Datzuk. Problem is that Seabrook isn't going to wave his NMC for anyone except maybe Edmonton, and they don't have the cap space. I don't know what Vancouver's cap situation is.

And this pulling the goalie crap with 3 minutes left deflates the team and is PATHETIC QUENNEVILLE.
FIRE THIS HOF COACH PLEASE !!

At this point
I think with Quinville’s record he would be happy to move on from the Bowman Built, Cap Strapped - Titanic

And land a final job like Babcock did in Toronto.
Detroit’s demise and Chicago’s looks the same.

I think they have assets to sell if Stan get's the ok from McD.
Kane, Keith for sure Toews, Seabs maybe maybe not. Corey
for sure, but a Corey trade will definitely signal rebuild.

And the ride has been fantastic, I wouldn't trade it for a WC banner
Vopats, got that.
