People are entitled to their opinions. But I think people should try to be as rational as possible and steer the conversation towards something constructive rather than the standard "Q sucks" or "Stan shouldn't have traded Leddy" narrative. Sports are suppose to be fun.

This year's schedule seems to be getting to them more than usual. And, I'd love to see their high shot/low goal issues addressed with some actual shooting drills (game simulated) with an legit offensive coach (like the guy Kane trains with in the summers). Zen-meister Toews needs to get a little of his infamous hyper-competitiveness back. All his total human optimization study isn't optimizing his performance (or Keith's for that matter), at least on ice.

there travel schedule has been awful...THANK YOU NHL: there first 2 games were at home since then they have traveled for 23 of 25 games...thats BS...ya think the nhl could nix the home-away-home-away-away- home type sequences..

yes oct and nov saw several 2 - 3 rests but but they traveled for the last 9 games...

If we are in the basement before the deadline, I wouldn't mind moving Kane+ for Tavares if he'd agree to extend here. That kick starts your rebuild on the fly right there. Tavares is 1C, Toews 2C, and we have a glut of wingers waiting to play.

If they trade Kane, it needs to be for multiple young players with top-line/top pairing potential, including a centerman who had the potential to be a #1 center (not a very good flowing sentence, I know, but....).

no leads in these 5 losses...

so far this year: blues, stars (2), preds (2), oilers, kings, aves, caps, knights, wild (1 of 2) 11 games where they did not have a lead at all and few more where combined lead was less than 10 minutes...

Tavares has been a PPG player almost every other year and is on pace to be above a PPG this year. He gets better with age, it seems. We have a glut if young forwards with potential, but we lack in center depth. Tavares would address that. it also wouldn't be to win next year, but to build towards a Pens-like retool over a couple years.

Fun fact: We haven't had this bad of a record since 2010-2011 when we were 12-10-2 after 25 games. We lost as the 8th seed in the first round to the President's trophy winning Canucks after coming back from 3 games to 0 to force game 7 and pushed it to OT. Campoli.

I wouldn't mind seeing Panik sat for about a month either. Give him some time to recoup from his bout of IDGAF. He used to hound the corners. Now it looks like he's just trying to stay out of the defender's way. To say he looks like he is half-a$$ing it is a slap in the face to loafers everywhere.

You already have 2 defenseman sitting every night because they don't want to expose them to waivers to send them down to the Rock. Unless there is an injury, there will be no d-man recalled.
