Well if we're gonna go down that road, I'd rather McDonagh didn't blast Zucc in the side of the head with the puck and then break his foot blocking a shot...but I digress

Pretty sure well all would. I'd like Nash not be soft and score in the 2014 playoffs too. See this game is fun.

ultimately zero points in 5 Stanley Cup final games vs the Kings when we so desperately needed just one goal so often is going to be Rick Nash's NYR legacy

unless something miraculously happens this spring

But, 9479 has me convinced - Duclair is far superior to Nash.
- Tonybere

Not saying that but at the age and contracts which would u rather have?

Yes, the lat 80 games of Duclair scoring a whopping 11 goals is much needed. He's also been brutal when not scoring.

Nash. Every time you ask. Yes, his lack of scoring is a problem, but it's about the only problem to be found in his game. Duclair, not so much.

edit: I know that Nash is not completely earning his 7.8M, but there is a few months left on his contract. So, at this point I'd rather have the solid, two-way player regardless of the cap hit. I would pay up to $4M x 3 years to retain Nash after this season. He's a heart and soul, professional kind of guy. Who knows? Maybe on a more reasonable contract he puts less pressure on himself and lights the lamp a little more often.

there isn't any reason to be comparing Duclair and Nash

9479 got the trades confused

I'm sure if we dig, we could find footage to make the case that Crosby isn't good either. Doesn't make it true.

Nash is soft. Does Nash have a very good skill set, yeah,. But for somebody who is 6'4, 220, he plays a much smaller game than that.

Hey, I'm like Sunday morning over here.

And, without solicitation I will admit that I was WAAAY off on Barzal. Watching him toss the salad all day in the World Juniors last winter, I thought he would be a high-risk type of player. He has been fantastic.

God damn Bruins and Oilers. Those team got a combined Zboril, Debrusk, Senyshyn and Griffin Reinhart. All while passing on Barzal.

Ya just wondering between the 2 given the contracts/age. Nash is a much much better 2 way player but his lack of scoring since coming to NY is concerning. Since he hit 30 he's had 1 season over 40 points.

I met him a while back. The year before he came to New York, I believe. Looking at him in street clothes I never would have guessed 220lbs. He was pretty lanky.

That was when I served tables at the Keg overlooking Niagara Falls. Met Girardi there too. Apparently, he brought the whole Lightning team in there and then to the casino a couple weeks ago when they played in Buffalo. Lots of drunkenness from the accounts I got.
