he may have thought something of him but not much. Otherwise he would have been given a much better chance when first acquired don't you think? doesn't matter when he was waived, fact is he was and Ronald at that point was prepared to lose him for nothing was he not. So you tell me how much you think he thought of him?

he didn't fit into the kings plans at all. after what 4 season in the ahl they cut bait.

- rinaldo

I think if he was just a throw in, Hextall wouldn't have been afraid to waive him and send him to the AHL as soon as he acquired him

I'd continue on, but well...I think we all know

Yes. Myers and (seemingly) Morin out til Christmas. With Brennan and Alt on NHL recall that leaves the Phantoms with O'Neill, Friedman, two guys coming back or close to back from injury (Lamarche for sure and maybe Willcox) and the rest are ECHL recalls from Reading.

That was my reasoning. Heck the last time I bought a jersey with a name and number it was Tim Kerr's, so it's been a while

Figuring when we get back from Canada alt and Brennan will go back and lamarche Wilcox will be back they'll be fine. Their goaltending is probably the bigger problem

His value is hard to gauge. People had interest in the free agent market for him. I think you'd have to find a team who loves his game and they could over pay. But as of now I don't see value in trading him

What's the market for undersized and under producing forwards that pass through waivers?

Always wait until a long term deal is given. If not, buy the shirsey. Just my 2 cents.

Obviously a long term isn't a guarantee to stay the full length. It at least shows a commitment to the player.

I think I read a quote somewhere from Schenn saying that the Flyers bounced him back and forth between wing and center and he never felt comfortable.
I guess water under the bridge at this point. Hopefully Frost is legit. The first rounder from the Blues this year is going to be likely in the last 5 picks of the round.

but well what?

he waived him. You can draw your own conclusion from that.

Any thoughts why kings gave him up after he did nothing in their organization in 4/5 years?

Coots and ghost have long term deals. Provorov is never going anywhere. Best chance of anyone on being a flyer for life. Although briere is already gone, simmer and ghost I think could both be trade pieces simmer as early as this year ghost in the next few years as the other guys progress.

I have a Simmonds as well. I can definitely see him gone before 2019. In fact (not that I want him gone ), I'd bet on it.

I have numerous Leclair, Lindros, Renbergs in black and white. A white Roenick, A black Hextall, A white 55 with no name, A black Gagne, a white Brind'Amour. A white Leclair '96 World Cup, and a white Lindros Canadian Olympic.

I bought a blank home white and a blank home orange in the "new" style and will never buy one with a name or number again.

One of the 2 times a year I actually would like him in the lineup, and he's out.

In Edmonton they will say Manning is a wussy and didn't want to face the wrath of all those tough guy Oilers.

Has anyone gotten Ghost's autograph? Does he actually sign it with a little Ghost Bear?
