Read has no value at all at this point. I doubt they could get a 7th for him at this point. Filppula will get you something at the deadline with 50% retention, likely a late 2nd from a contender looking for an upgrade at 3C. - BiggE .
agreed but not sure they will have to retain salary on Flip. It will be half through the season and actual pay will only be 2.5 mil, unless retaining salary gets them a higher pick. If Flip plays as he has been, they will be lucky to get a 3rd and I liked Flip

I'll take a stab at this one....two teams at different places. The Flyers, whether Hextall wants to use the word or not, are in a re-tooling acquiring picks and prospects (Weal at the time for Vinny). The Blues are in a position to go for it and had a chance to pick up a still young player for 2 first rounders. - nastyflyergirl
weal was a complete throw in when that deal went down. Hell flyers waived him and went unclaimed. So imo he really didn't fit into their future plans at the time. |

C'mon it's hockey, you have to misdirect the opposition. You wouldn't want anyone trying to put their stick in the hole between Neuvy's shoulders when he returns to the lineup, would ya? - BiggE
Well now they are going to keep putting the stick in the hole between his legs. |

something tells me the guy that drafted him thought of him as a little more than a throw in...they also didn't waive him until the start of the next year

he may have thought something of him but not much. Otherwise he would have been given a much better chance when first acquired don't you think? doesn't matter when he was waived, fact is he was and Ronald at that point was prepared to lose him for nothing was he not. So you tell me how much you think he thought of him?
he didn't fit into the kings plans at all. after what 4 season in the ahl they cut bait. |

How did Neuvirth get injured this time? That dude just canβt stay healthy. - Buzzo
Im gonna go with breathing, eating or sleeping as the cause of current injury.

Ghost calls for sweeping changes in Flyers management in this controversial article.

Nice piece from Ghost, really enjoyed. Him finding out how he was drafted was a fun think to read.
Couts and Ghost are my favs in the current yo's. |

Great stuff from Ghost, seems a like a great and well adjusted kid. - BiggE
My buddy is the guy who dresses up as ghost bear in the crowd and they asked them to come do the promo video with ghost for the season. They spent a whole day with him said he was one of the coolest guys they've ever met. Too bad he will be the one traded when our prospects are done grooming π |

A) What injuries caused Manning and Neuvy to go on IR? Didn't know they got injured.
B) I guess we'll see Morin in the lineup 2018/19? |

Reached for a cup of coffee in the locker room, knocked it over onto Raffl who jumped from being burned. Raffl's jumping caused a stick rack to topple over which sent a frightened mouse scurrying across the floor. Ghost saw the mouse, screamed and his scream caused the trainer to lose the grip on the skate he was sharpening. The skate flew across the room and decapitated Neuvirth.
He's now day to day with an LBI. - BiggE
This is slow clap worthy. Well done. |

A) Neuvy stretching. McDavid hired a hit on ManDog circa Tonya Harding.
B) Maybe, depends if Hak wants some veteran leadership I guess. |

I guess that means Alt into the starting lineup. Shocking that Neuvirth is hurt. Aren't the Phantoms very thin on defense already? - MJL
Yes. Myers and (seemingly) Morin out til Christmas. With Brennan and Alt on NHL recall that leaves the Phantoms with O'Neill, Friedman, two guys coming back or close to back from injury (Lamarche for sure and maybe Willcox) and the rest are ECHL recalls from Reading. |

That was my reasoning. Heck the last time I bought a jersey with a name and number it was Tim Kerr's, so it's been a while
