Big new shiny contract to Draisiatl and hes on the 3rd line.
- Buzzo

They had to do something to try and drive secondary scoring. He also recently came back from injury didn't he ? But their offense was doing so poorly it would be like us reaching the point we move g back to center which is something this board has suggested.

For sure, cause they are making big money it is incumbent on them not the coach to learn how to play hockey in the 3rd.
But wait if they are not playing, how do they learn...oh yeah watching the venerable ones...

- Konalover

You are a better player because you watch the venerable ones. Why would it be different for them?

Far and away Hextall's strength as a GM has been he and his scouting dept's drafting record. These guys know their stuff.

- BiggE

Well on paper his drafting looks excellent. Hasn't shown as far as the nhl on ice product yet. Though still way too early to say.

What about that Bernhardt character
- Giroux_Is_God

he was in it last year...I never liked him as much as Hogberg as a prospect though. Bernhardt isn't in this years tournament, but Sweden has some blue chippers now so I wouldn't say it is entirely his fault

waiting for Badko's suspension to end.

Only if they allow us to throw in solid veteran forward and role model to hockey youth everywhere, Mr. Dale Weise.

I wouldn't call him a legit prospect at this point in time. So far he has 13 wins in 23 games...917 save % and 2.66 GAA

myself no idea just seems intriguing because of his size. Be curious if any plans to bring him over or place him in another euro league.

Is he in the top KHL league?

he's one level down from KHL and not doing well. So I doubt they'll do anything with him.

Those were actually Henrik Lundqvist's 17-18 season stats, but I figured it would be sufficient for you

Flyers have Fedotov's rights indefinitely since he's Russian.

There has to be way more to it for why they moved Schenn. It wasn't a talent issue nor was it that they wanted Frost so bad they had to make the move imo. More than meets the eye here on this trade.

Hell didn't Ronald say that he didn't even shop Schenn around or something to that effect.

- rinaldo

My own opinion was that there were several reasons.

1. The return was just too good, two first round picks are coin of the realm in a cap era. I would not be at all surprised if Hexy packaged that St. Louis pick to move up.
2. I don't think Schenn ever found a place in the lineup, and they felt the deal was so good they couldn't pass it up, even if it hurt them short term.
3. I also got the feeling Hak and Schenn maybe didn't have the most harmonious relationship.

I think this is spot on. If the Flyers finish in the bottom 10 of the league, perhaps their 2nd round pick packaged with St. Louis' first can get them into the 12-15 range. That would be awesome.

2 mid to low 1st rd picks that you hope and pray become schenn. You hear 2 - 1st rd picks and get all giddy, though not so sure its as great as the perception.

Is the VHL the new name for the MHL?
