I dont think this is helping these kids confidence either. They have to be playing worried to make a mistake and lose more ice time. Don't like how they are doing this back to back. these kids are ones we need to start developing in these situations and see how they can handle them.

Hak knows how to develop the young guys don't worry. They don't need to play they just need to sit on the bench and watch Weise out there he's the 2 way guy they need to mold their play after

Provorov was outstanding tonight, played 28 minutes. McDavid got one shot off the whole game.

I'm not sure what you guys are seeing in Patrick to want him out there more, he hasn't been very good. To me, he doesn't look ready for the NHL. Hopefully this has a lot to do with recovering from injuries/surgeries but he'll need to pick up a lot of speed to even get to Couts level skating and that is the only way I see him being worth a 2nd overall pick.

In my opinion the 3 biggest problems this year have been:
Simmonds: I think big things were expected from him, he really seemed like the only guy on the team that could be a real goal scoring threat coming into the season and after the first few games has not looked very good (he is starting to look better lately) hopefully this is injury related and resolved soon.

Lindblom: Coming into the season, I think the Flyers were counting on him to be in the top 6 and likely be in talks for the Calder. He didn't make the team out of camp which was questionable (he didn't earn it but he didn't really get a fair chance to earn it either) however he's proven that decision right thus far as he has struggled to produce for the Phantoms.

Patrick: We were depending on him to be a 2C OR solid 3C with some bumps along the way. His lines seem to get caught hemmed in their zone a lot and have trouble generating good chances. He just looks way too slow. Reserving a C spot for him has created a huge hole. I'm all in favor of giving the kids experience but when they are generating much at all, you can't put them out there every night and expect to win in the NHL.

If these three were producing as originally expected, this team would be in much better shape. Simmonds struggles are likely due to injury and the other two have plenty of time to grow (hopefully I'll start eating these words sooner than later.)

Gotta say I disagree. It was a bad pass behind Weiss by quite a bit. As much as I bust on Weise, I can't blame him for that.

"Behind" Weise?

The pass was a foot IN FRONT of Weise. You should watch it again; others have posted the link here.
