Robert Hagg, a defensive defenseman up ice on the rush in what essentially was a 2 on 1. Nah, Hakstol doesn't let his defenseman play aggressively offensively.

I'll say Columbus has more veteran talent than the flyers have imo. The panarin trade was robbery to me. Seth Jones another huge steal for them. And they have a top 10 goaltender. Much better place for development beyond just coaching.

Toronto is having a lot of sophomore struggles this year from their youth and are relying more heavily on veterans. Long term the youth is helping them but they definitely are having ups and downs. Its interesting they needed to sell off their over paid above average guys in kessel and Phaneuf in order to let the youth really shine as well.

The Flyers are icing a roster that is mostly veterans. The vets also play a very prominent role on this team. Columbus has a top pairing made up of two young players and the Leafs rely heavily on their young centers to carry the scoring load. The only young player the Flyers rely on heavily is Provorov.

My point isn't to crush the Flyers young players. I just think there is more talent on this team than people give them credit for. Other teams win with young talent.

My point is I'm not happy with the flyers or the usage of the youth BUT Columbus and Toronto I would argue have more talented roster at this point in time top to bottom. We are more successful so far in our rebuild than say buffalo

Debatable. 7 of 9 of the Defenseman on this roster have less than 3 years NHL experience. Gudas and AMac are the only 2 with more and they have missed 10+ games this season.

On forward before the switch up we had Weal and Patrick on the 2nd line with less than 1 year experience. Weal hasnt played a full season with 25+ games. Konecny, Laughton and Leier are players with less than 3 years experience.

Vets are Giroux, Coots(Young but has been with team since 18 yrs old), Voracek, Simmonds, Raffl, Fillpula, Weise, Lehtera and 2 of these players are often scratched as well

Team is kind of 50/50 unless you count the goalies as well.

The two players who lead the Flyers in ice time per game are Ivan Provorov followed by Shayne Gostisbehere. Provorov is 20 years old and in his second NHL season. Gostisbehere is 24 in his 3rd full NHL season and has played 166 NHL games.

Seth Jones and Zach Werenski lead Columbus in ice time per game. Werenski is 20 years old and in his second full NHL season, same as Provorov. Seth Jones is 23 and in his 6th NHL season and has played 343 NHL games. Which is more than double the amount of games that Gostisbehere has played.

So who is relying on youth more? Your statement is wrong on many levels.
