Schenn with the hat trick last night. I know I know... Tarasenko & Schwartz....

I wonder why St. Louis didn't hold onto their first round picks and just play Lehtera on that line.

- PLindbergh31

we've seen about 17 times this year why St. louis made that trade....up close and personal.

Technically, if you've been up all night, the scotch is actually way overdue.

This sitting them in the 3rd is an awesome way to handle the kids.
This way they will never learn how to lock down a win.
This technique is a great way to break their confidence.

In 4 years when Frost is thriving with his prime in front of him and Schenn is no longer an effective player the trade will look lit.

And if we hit on the 1st they gave us for the upcoming draft

Hogberg looks like he will slot into the Swedish top 4 in the WJC. Another late pick that looks great so far

Watching the greatness of lauded NHL veterans such as the venerable Dale Weise while simultaneously basking in the presence of the coaching greatness that is Dave Hakstol should be all they need to develop into NHL superstars. If they fail to do so, it's all on them.

Far and away Hextall's strength as a GM has been he and his scouting dept's drafting record. These guys know their stuff.

Don't worry when we are down 3 in the third tonight they'll be stapled to the bench also

For sure, cause they are making big money it is incumbent on them not the coach to learn how to play hockey in the 3rd.
But wait if they are not playing, how do they learn...oh yeah watching the venerable ones...

I sat and watched a S.S Marie game last week, He had 4 points and was fantastic.
Hopefully that trade works for both teams....it's clearly working for the Blues currently.

There has to be way more to it for why they moved Schenn. It wasn't a talent issue nor was it that they wanted Frost so bad they had to make the move imo. More than meets the eye here on this trade.

Hell didn't Ronald say that he didn't even shop Schenn around or something to that effect.

I forget who wrote the article but over summer someone wrote about our scouting department and some of the guys in it. Their experience etc and how most of our late round hits were from the scout being passionate about a young player and Pryor and hextall having no choice but to trust their passion for them. I think it might of been centered around how the lindblom pick came to be but was about the whole department in general. Made me realize how important Pryor and those guys are to the organization and how much credit they don't get. If Pryor ever leaves and some his scouts go with him we could be franked.
