With the team in the midst of a 1 game winning streak, I'm surprised it's so surly in here....

Okay thanks, so then, no, imho goalie isn't a need right now.
- Scoob

Get with it. They're obviously going to trade Neuvirth for Draisatl. Edmonton needs a back up.

Neuvirth's injury is obviously self-inflicted lol

He's pulling the old JVR trick. He doesn't want to get traded.

Nolan Patrick, guilty of turnovers in two straight games that led to counterattacking opposition goals

I couldn't disagree more with this; at least re the Flames game.

The Flames second goal was 100 percent on Dale Weise. Any decent player collects that cross-ice pass from Patrick that Weise wasn't ready for (what else is new?) and didn't react to quickly enough (what else is new?) or with enough aggression (what else is new?).

Then, after leisurely coasting back (what else is new?) behind the Flames' 2-on-1, Weise is in perfect position to zip over to pick up the rebound along the wall, but instead of taking 3 or 4 aggressive strides, he coasts (what else is new?) and gets beaten by a step to the puck (what else is new?), and then, instead of jamming that player, he steps aside weakly like a matador (what else is new?) and allows a shot that led to a rebound that led to a Flames goal.

Also, Monahan scored from the spot where Weise should have been but wasn't (what else is new?) and you can see Patrick notice this and try to cover for him (what else is new?) at the last second, but he got there too late.

But Hakstol as usual sees the situation in favor of the unskilled veteran (what else is new?) and incorrectly blames and penalizes the young skilled player (what else is new?) by benching Patrick in the 3rd period when, to me, it's not even debatable that it was Weise's fault (what else is new?).

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I get the sense that you're not a Dale Weise fan?

Will be at the game tonight in Edmonton, hopefully see a win as Edmonton has not been kind to Philly in the past few years. I always leave in my Flyer Jersey getting laughed at! Hopefully Lucic takes a dumb penalty and Philly scores on the powerplay to win it!

Dead on. There was nothing wrong with the pass.
