The last time I watched him specifically I couldn’t tell what position he was playing, he was literally all over the ice, in both zones. Reminded me of Atom hockey where they all just follow the puck around the ice. Maybe that’s Greeners system when Virtsey is on the ice though...

8 D in the top 15 is crazy. Canucks should be happy knowing its a deep defensive draft

6. Noah Dobson. I like him, not worthy of 6OA.

Curious stat of the night: The guy with 1 career goal, and on an 87 game goalless drought led Canucks forwards in ice time. Brendan Gaunce 17:27

Just thought this was funny

lol too funny.

I actually could not believe it when I was in Nanaimo a few summers ago and man I thought there was something odd with the people there...like...they were still learning to walk upright and stuff...

Me as well with the height thing. 10 points in 14 games for Michigan in his draft year. He can play.

As for Noah Dobson, close to Cal Foote who went 14OA? Middle first.

I'm starting to believe in them a little more but still expect them to be outside the playoffs when the time comes. Things can go wrong in a hurry as we saw with the team when Tortorella rode them into the ground, they were in a playoff spot up until mid January that year I think.

Different scenario though, they have a much more balanced attack in terms of ice time right now and their younger guys are more skilled than back then.

Did you read the Canucks Army piece on college players and the stats showing that it isn't actually typical for a college rookie to fall off late in the season due to them only playing 40 game per. There is no pattern to speak of. I've been saying it too... time to not say it I guess.

Local radio station posted an expanded version on their FB, still missing a few municipalities. Like for instance, the difference between Saanich, Central Saanich and North Saanich. The coastal portions of N.Saanich is full of $15m mansions, new money, made from tech etc, relatively young, whereas Sidney is old old old

Great blog Carol,thanks.

If the Canucks lose tonight what does this really say about the team? They have shown they can play above their standing by beating top seeded teams but can't seem to rise to beat the teams they should beat, and especially at home.
