I was into a few beers last night but from what I saw they looked decent, missed the first period though. Virtanen with 14:36 of ice last night, also good to see.

Very little to complain about last night. First period was a snoozer but after that okay.

lol too funny.

I actually could not believe it when I was in Nanaimo a few summers ago and man I thought there was something odd with the people there...like...they were still learning to walk upright and stuff...

I'm starting to believe in them a little more but still expect them to be outside the playoffs when the time comes. Things can go wrong in a hurry as we saw with the team when Tortorella rode them into the ground, they were in a playoff spot up until mid January that year I think.

Different scenario though, they have a much more balanced attack in terms of ice time right now and their younger guys are more skilled than back then.

Yes I saw him with a good shift, two good shots on goal and then I kept falling in and out of sleep with the jet-lag and four beers interfering with my first hockey game in awhile.

I am trending towards bubble team too. We are 1/3 through so it could be possible this is who they are.

Sooke is a little rough around the edges but it's a nice place if you love the outdoors and being close to a biggish city.

Injuries and a big slide is still really possible though. I've seen it before. If not, we'll see how it plays out.

If Boeser hits a wall in the New Year they could be in trouble, he's stirring the drink on that top line imo.

Been told that #Canucks prospects Jonah Gadjovich, Kole Lind and Michael DiPietro will all be named to the Canadian #WJC2018 preliminary roster this morning.

We've been down that Rodeo before. When the stakes get higher in a month or so, the physicality will as well.

generally, most teams in the playoffs in December make it by the end of the year.

Curious stat of the night: The guy with 1 career goal, and on an 87 game goalless drought led Canucks forwards in ice time. Brendan Gaunce 17:27

Just thought this was funny

he's faster than i thought. wins pucks battles. I'm quite happy with him (aside of goaless streak).

Oh and he hasn't even really beat a goalie in the NHL yet. It went off his skate.

It's possible EP, OJ and AG all join the team next year at some point too. As good as this team looks now, they still have 2 1st rd picks in waiting. Could be quite a jolt.

But, still talk EP may be another year? I'd say have him in the AHL if thats the case. In related news, I traded Dadonov to a contending team in my Kepper for EP

Dadonov is now hurt til the new year.

acquiring a physical goal scorer like kane could be just what you guys need to get over the hump.

Canucks will get him for free in July, no need to waste assets on him now. They may be exceeding expectations but they're not in a position to compete for a Cup. In my opinion anyways.
