Has anyone mentioned how much better the 4th line looked last night? I love the speed of Leier and Laughton and would rather have a skilled guy like Weal on that line then a slower skater or bigger body. A mobile fast 4th line is a great thing, and if they can score it’s a bonus.

Haks leaned on them too and they were fine, for the most part.

Liked Raffl and Jake together. Possession monsters.

TK should see top 6 minutes soon.

Weise is a placeholder for any one of the kids, hopefully later this season.

Gudas should replace Manning, not Sanheim.
But I’m ok if Sanheim sits a game or two as well.

The adjustments the coach made were good.

Calgary is not very good at team D, which is surprising looking at their defensem. On paper, they should be very good.
Gio, Dougy, Brennan, Hamonic are a pretty solid group.

He broke out as a 22 year old in 15-16. You were just too dumb to notice.
- Feanor

so never hitting 40 points is now considered breaking out. wish I was as smart as you.

Vecchione could play in the NHL right now, but if you send Weise or Lehtera down you're tanking their value with term left on their contract. Maybe they already have no value even with 50% retention, but that would confirm it.

Also, the Phantoms already have so many veterans they have to sit one out every game, so adding Lehtera or Weise to their roster would mean they have to sit two.

- Feanor

tanking their value? my your a dummy, they have no value. but he keep playing them in the nhl to showcase their talent

Not defending Weise but Martel isn't the guy to replace him. The Flyers need someone who does a better job at what Weise was signed to do. Lindblom brings something closer to that with more offensive upside. He could move up in the top six of the lineup down the road. If nothing else, Lindblom is good on the walls and responsible defensively.

I know that Lindblom is with the Phantoms because the Flyers want him to be more than just a bottom six guy who is solid defensively. In time, I still think he can and will be a good supplementary offense source.

I guess my bottom line is that I dont think Weise deserves to be in the lineup. Id rather mix and match with Martel in than have Weise in.

Now come January if Lindblom is ready to make the jump, I think you do it. Let him get his NHL shoes wet in a bad year. That way next season he is ready from day one.

Well, you don't ever start your posts with, "I know no one's going to agree with me, but..." so CLEARLY you wouldn't have an argumentative alt, it would be agreeable (even a cheerleader of sorts).

Also, a clever disguise of your alt would be done where, when needed, you and your alt would post in a fairly close time space, say on the same page or so (generally).

Am I being clear, Lord Vader?

Weise's exceptional ability was on display to make NP look bad.
If you watch his pass that resulted in the 2-1, it was perfect if W would have been in correct/proper position to accept the pass. He looked like Gumby he was so tied up!

OT, but maybe if TJ Oshie could learn to throw a body check properly he doesn't get his head crunched last night. Not sure putting both gloves and your stick into a player's face is a proper body check.
