From everything that the owners have said the people in the organization they seem pretty confident that they are going to win this bid every now and then Ledecky adds a if to it

I love soccer, but NYCFC has literally said that Belmont is not their first choice. I don't believe they'll be a bigger draw for the area than the Islanders and a mixed-use indoor arena. A soccer stadium can't really be used if the weather is crappy and/or cold. Isles arena can host concerts and events year-round.

Not celebrating yet, but logic tells me things are looking good for the Isles.

Only two dozen people show up for a rally to bring Amazon to the Belmont site, despite the literal fact that Amazon never submitted an RFP to build anything there. Oh, and the pointless rally was led by a politician who was recently arrested for domestic abuse/drug possession.

Newsday reported that they leased a building in Bethpage. They are talking about opening up a fulfillment center on on Staten Island. They have zero interest in Belmont.

"Amazon.com Inc. has agreed to lease a 161,360-square-foot Bethpage facility to use as part of its vast distribution infrastructure, a spokesman for the online retailer confirmed."

Have to think the isles win this but until the state makes a decision who knows. At least they are down to two bidders and are having a public meeting I would expect maybe mid january on this
