I think he's gun-shy because he knows if he gets torched defensively Dougie is sending him to the press box. I think as his defensive skills stabilizes, the offense will follow.

I also wouldn't be all the surprised if they use him as trade bait either. Depending on who it was, I'd probably be fine with that. I'd dangle him (and other assets) for OEL all day long.

He's starting to get more confidence you can see it when he's rushing the puck through the neutral zone. He wasn't doing that earlier in the season he has also flashed some pretty good hands in the O zone. Seems to be finding his game at this level more and more.

omg yea him nelson a prospect and a 1st for Oel and pray we can resign him after next year. although with doughty and karrelson saying they want full value there is a slim chance of that

Yeah he's definitely trending up. I'm not sure how many points we can expect him to score getting around 15min TOI on average, but I'll be just as happy if he turns into a good defender and the points come with increased ice-time down the road.

That's why getting two points against FLA was imperative last night. I have no doubt that TBL could dust them tonight, so leaving Florida with a wash is OK. If they can get it to OT I'll be happy leaving there with 3 out of 4 possible points.
