It's really not directed at the masses. I apologize if I offended you. Every GM makes mistakes and bad trades. Part of the business. How do you think an every day fan would do? Legitimate criticism even if I don't agree with it doesn't bother me. When comments start getting made such as the coach is a moron, and he basically can't do anything right from systems, to lineup decisions, to game decisions, to developing young players, and all across the entire spectrum of the responsibilities that fall to a coach, that's when in my opinion a line is crossed. One source repeatedly criticizes Hakstol's systems when the comments he makes are disqualifying and he clearly doesn;t understand the first thing about hockey systems. That's what that comment is directed at and I'll admit that I shouldn't have made it. It's not productive to the conversation and I don't do that very often.

I got you and all good. not offended, just came across as saying they always know more than the rest and I don't think that is necessarily true. I'm not in the locker room privy to the work and preparation Hakstol is puts in which I am sure is a lot and I understand a coach is under pressure to win, afterall, its a bottom line business so i get how coaches sometimes lean to veterans (much to my dismay). I have not lost faith in Hextall and his approach which i knew would take time. I am losing faith in Hakstol tho. I don't see many options. you either hope they come around or try to shake things up by firing the coach or making a trade. Without moving a young player who is movable that could make an impact in return? Simmonds in my opinion and that is a hard choice for me. I'd have to get a young NHL ready player, first rounder and decent prospect. and that very well could be another immediate step back for the betterment of th future.

How about in the Boston game when Patrick made that bad drop pass that led to a breakaway goal against? How come he hasn't been scratched for that?

Because you want to talk systems!!!....my god. The one you quote is when the the other team has the puck in their own end....what about when there’s a change of possession in the neutral zone....or in their own end....what about when the Flyers have the puck in all three different zones. I assume you understand that every situation based on puck possession leads to a different responsibility for all five guys on the ice....and where that puck possession takes place. Hard to have context when you really don’t understand the concept of what there goals are.

Now some are basic....which even guys in the NHL (frank) up every night but to have an actual conversation about the basics of what the Flyers wish to do ? Is laughable even with that funky name you pulled out of your ass.

There is zero content here. Here is your chance to educate me since I never played. Explain to me the Flyers neutral zone checking system.

Your the one that came up with the funky made up name....I can honestly say I didn’t know what that was...

How could anyone not be losing faith in Hakstol right now? There are legitimate grounds to fire him right now. If they meekly lose a couple more games the chances are good that he will be fired and I think he should be if that happens. If they don't make significant progress the rest of the season, he should be fired. I personally hope it doesn't happen simply because that would mean the team is improving.

Nothing funky or made up about it. It's a very common name and description for it and a very common system. Laviolette employed the same neutral zone system when he was with the Flyers.

Vague and deflecting. There are many facets to a teams systems play. What I named is the basics of how the Flyers play. Many other facets to a teams systems play include defensive zone coverages, break out schemes both in play and controlled, neutral zone and defensive zone regroups. Faceoff coverages and set breakouts.

Just because you are unaware and don't have the knowledge of how the Flyers play, doesn't mean the very common terms I used is a funky name pulled out of my ass. You disqualify yourself with that comment.

Like I said, let's talk systems. Ready when you are.

if that's the case, it's actually quite sad that he would spend most of his time arguing with us.

I know I've said some poop, but I really hold no real world angst toward him. I'm sure in real life he'd be an aight dude.

Lavy was a much more aggressive forecheck....nueutral zone trap...left wing lock...1-3-1 NZT or a 1-2-2....those are common. A “flyer lock style neutral zone forcheck” is a made up name....by the way forcheck is a term used for checking the other team in their own end not in the Nuetral zone...totally made up.

Yea, I work for the Flyers in the media hockeybuzz department. I get a company car and an expense account. Do you think I'll get in trouble for stating that there is legitimate grounds right now to fire the coach? I don't think my buddy Ron is going to like that. How am I going to explain that the next time I have beers with Hak?

I am torn. Want a loss because it might make them get rid of Varsity earlier.

A win would be nice for the mental side of the kids.

Kind of apathetic really, as long as the youth gets a poop load of playing time.

*awaits disappointment*

Speaking of angst. I checked my PM's (never do) and there are a few from you in 2015? That I was an ass or something? Have no recolection of that. Thought we were cool.
